Why Kotor 3?Why Bioware?NOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Bioware is not making KOTOR 3, they are making a mmorpg in the starwars universe... The fact they are supposedly calling it KOTOR 3 is rediculous and they are just cashing in on a successful series.. It would be as bad as calling World of Warcraft, Warcraft 4.

If anyone can make a decent RPG, it's Bioware. If I could bet on any company to make a decent MMO that's never did it before, it's Bioware. Sign me up. mismajor99

The problem of this is the fact that MMO's are saturating the market, WE DO NOT NEED MORE MMO's.. We need single player RPG's... Because very few are being released, let alone good ones...

Thats because it was made by Obsidian not Bioware.. IDK why Bioware gives Obsidian their most successful series, regardless if key members came from one company (Black Isle).. Obsidian with KOTOR2 and now most recently NWN2 has shown to rush their games out the door.. NWN2 was awful to the point that you could tell they did not play test it correctly at all.. Errors that you would see on your first playthrough that were so odvious.. Not to mention the fact that you couldn't relaly miss these errors because the game was on eof the most linear rpgs out there..

Both NWN2 and KOTOR 2 were released rushed and unfinished.. Yet Bioware did not rush on either one what so ever.. Either Obsidian is slow, or they get pressured entirelly too much by the publisher.. I would tend to agree if it was just KOTOR2, but it was ALSO NWN2, BOTH their games they have ever released were rushed bug fests.. How can I respect this company what so ever.. Specially when I have seen first hand on their forums of obsidian devs claiming that the problems were really not problems.. I lmao at Obsidian when a mod in their forums tried to claim that 25fps was ok, acceptable and expected on the highest end systems..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this just an unconfirmed rumor? I thought it was reported from questionable sources? How do you know that they aren't simuletaneously working on KOTOR 3 AND a Star Wars MMO? Either that or who's to say that this IS the third KOTOR? Maybe this will be a KOTOR MMO but that doesn't mean it's KOTOR 3. KOTOR just stands for Knights of the Old Republic. Know what I mean?

Anyway, I LOVED KOTOR 1 and 2. I played through both numerous times. I'll honestly even say that I haven't played a really good one since. I love Star Wars, RPG's, and I think a good Star Wars MMO would be very successful.

When i heard about this i swear a single tear rolled down my face. I can't express how gutted i am that they are making the third installment in one of the best RPG series created into a MMORPG. SW-Galaxies sucked and hardly anyone plays it now compared to when it first started, that alone should of made them think about making another SW themed MMO game.

But oh well i won't be buying this game when its released, i don't like MMO's anyway as i don't agree in the pay-to-play style of many of them.

the sw expanded universe has a lot of potential for an mmo, on the side of gameplay and even on the side of market. In any case those are only rumors, lucasarts have alredy an agreement with sony for their mmo and selling the rights for a sw mmo to bioware without continuity with their old sony partner seems a little bit strange...

sad it is indeed that kotor will be the probable sacrifical victim on the altar of money and future, unfortunatly the rpgs are in slow decline and this game genere in the near future will succumb to the mmo money machine.
