Wich procesor works with my motherboard

Hi everyone, here it is:

i have a computer with a foxconn 671m mobo, and a oc dual 1.8, id like to upgrade the procesor and want 2 know wich is the best possible for mi mobo (sock 775, 800fsb) i think id be a e4700 but im not sure, can you help me on this1 ? i think it bottlenecks mi xfx9600gtx

you can put a core 2 quad in there I think

No, he can't. The Foxconn website specifically states it only supports Core2Duo's, Pentium Dual Cores, Pentium D's, Pentium 4's, and Celeron D processors. Also, with the limit at 800FSB, the highest he would be able to go is this e5400.

Ureright, quads work higher than 800fsb, so e5400? wich fsb do 5700 work? anyway thanks a lot Ravenguard =)

It also runs at 800FSB, albeit at 2.6ghz compared to the e5400's 2.7ghz. They're both about the same processors in terms of specs, but I don't really know if there are any differences in architecture, which can help in overclocking.

AFAIK, that motherboard only allows for first-gen 65NM Core 2 Duo processors. I'm pretty certain a 45NM C2D will be incompatible with the listed motherboard.

According to Foxconn's CPU compatibility list, the best you can do is a E4700.
