Will a PCI Express 3.0 card work in a PCI Express 2.0 slot?

Alright so I'm very interested upgrading my current Geforce GTX 560ti to this 650ti: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130839

(I also want the copy of AC III that comes with it :))

My concern is that the 560ti uses PCIE 2.0 while the 650ti uses PCIE 3.0. My current motherboard only has a PCIE 2.0 slot. Would I be able to use the 650ti on a PCIE 2.0 slot? If so, would there be any performance issues or glitches?

No problems.

However you do realise a 650ti would be a downgrade? :P
