No, that is a 1155 pin cpu, not 1156. 1156 is the older generation boards.

indeed. the 1156 cpu's:

core i3 500 series (dual core)

core i5 600 series (dual core)

core i5 700 series (quad core)

core i7 800 series (quad core)

if you can score one the core i7 800 series cpu's are nice but you can easily overclock a core i5 700 series and be just as well off. regretably the only place you will find ANY of these anymore is online via ebay and possibly used on amazon. id avoid a core i5 600 series as their are two runs of the 600 series one is lga 1136 and is therefore incompatible.

lga 1136:

core i3 300 series (dual core)

core i5 600 series (second run) (dual core)

core i7 900 series (quad core)

core i7 900x series (hexa core)
