Can't break a broken game, all it can do is make it

Well, it might respark my intrest if it's good or not, but I'm looking forward to too many games to care all that much about it.
Hopefully they fix Alterac Valley.. God that BG is so stupid to play in.. sSubZerOoAs a relatively new player (started in BC, quit because I didn't have time to play it, came back in Lick King) that has heard about the epicness of old AV matches, I hope they balance it out. I didn't like the rush boss- win tactics you see today in AV (or atleast when I quit in January, again, I didn't have time to play)

And actually passing the middle map graveyard was a pretty big deal.

You could log off for the night and pick up the same battle the next morning. People would still be in there fighting and new people would be coming in and out

Yeah I thought that to be extremely cool.. With all the side quests you could do on top of that.. So even as low level you could still be a help to your team by farming pelts and what not.. What they should have done is keep the same length.. But give a reward based on time and/or certain objectives reached in the battle ground.. I would liek to see a 3 hour AV game... Where you can still get marks and good honor with out staying the entire time.. Such as each tower destroyed = a mark and numerous other ideas.. Making it into a 15 minute zerg rush is just freaking stupid.
[QUOTE="mrbojangles25"]we will revisit this 4 months after release when you are saying "wtf.... 90% of this is old content that has just been rebalanced...." .....and then we will all laugh and say we told you so.theyre...
...redoing the entire old-world game setting (old Azeroth)
...adding two new races
...complete tweaking the classes and adding new fundamental changes and additions to them
...raising the level cap to 85, raising profession level, adding new profession abilities and patterns, adding guild leveling
...theyre gonna have like 20 new 5-man dungeons, and a few more raids (dont really care, raiding takes too much time)
Basically, no one has a right to complain about this expansion unless you just dont plain like WoW.
1. If you are one of the players that says "Man, old WoW was awesome, I hate the new expansions" well guess what? Here is your chance to reroll not just a new character of the old race (you dont need Cataclysm for that, and it'd be worthwhile to do that anyway) or a new toon of the new race.
Its like...pressing the restart button. You get to experience all this awesome content you fell in love with, but there is also a plethora of new content in old world Azeroth
2. If you liked the expansions, well, here is another good one lol.
imo Cataclysm will be the best thing for WoW since its original release.

Roland, I was hoping we would have a nice, objective discussion and/or debate in this thread; but I see that, like last time, you want to turn this into an emotional issue. Have fun
[QUOTE="Roland123_basic"][QUOTE="MetaKnight117"]so that begs the question..... what exactly are you paying for with cataclysm? 2 new races? big Fing deal..... if the majority of the population didnt already have 3-4 80s i would say this was kind of cool... no new hero classes? wtf blizzard.... broken promises.... recycled raid instances? ragnoros is back? we already killed him.... COME ON.... onyxia as well? WHAT THE HELL flying mounts in old world? didnt need them before... why would you need them now? the list just goes on.... to me, cataclysm just looks like a final cash-in expansion before blizzard announces their new MMO. Your posts in this thread, thus far, have reeked of someone who just doesn't like WoW, period. Have you thought that, maybe, there are some people excited for the new expansion pack? I don't count myself among them because I left WoW 4 years ago. But due to the list of changes, it's easy to see why this exp. pack has a chance to reinvent the old WoW world in a different manner and more features to an already the most polished MMO game on the market.Yes, I know that. I heard that the old world changes and the new race/class combos will come in a patch right before Cataclysm.

WoW was the best after a few updates but before BC. BC was good till they started going nuts destroying classes left and right by nerfing and buffing different things. Lich king was casual city, any person could pick up and play, and I didn't appreciate how people with no skill could get geared up so fast. Why bother putting in time to the game if everything could be acquired with less work. It is just going to get worse and worse as time goes on.IvanElkPlay for fun, not gear.

Ok I don't know how I can say this.. But MMORPG's in general pve wise rarely ever take skill.. They take time, patience, and communication.. Seriously WoW vanilla raids were awful.. Molten Core had you going through a extremely boring dungeon in which you spammed 3 to 5 abilities tops.. The hardest thing about it was getting the 40 people as well as the communication down.. It wasn't taht you needed skill, it was that you needed people not to suck..
[QUOTE="shakmaster13"][QUOTE="scottahuch"]Just so you know PVP in wrath was terribad comparable to PVP before the honor revamp in how hard it failed. Yeah, because YOU decide if he had fun or not. He just said it was fun for him and then you come along and claim that he's wrong? I was trying to imply that it can only get better.I also started doing PvP in Wrath, and that was a lot of fun too.

Yeah Roland is a crazy troll when it comes to WoW.. All he has to state is he doesn't like the game then move on.. Instead he tries to attack peoples opinion who like the game.
technically calling someone a troll is against the forum TOS... sooo....[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"][QUOTE="mrbojangles25"]

considering a game is not a system.... system wars is not the correct forum. this is however, because it is a pc game.... so shoo.
if you dont like my opinion... that is just too bad for you now isnt it?

Perhaps if your opinions had more arguments and less "whaaa" they would be taken into account more.Coming into threads and bashing a game is not what this particular forum is designed for (System Wars is that way --->>) so shoo.[QUOTE="Im_single"][QUOTE="Roland123_basic"] technically calling someone a troll is against the forum TOS... sooo....Roland123_basic

Dude, your bashing the opinions of those who love WoW, and so far I don't see many agreeing with you.A lot of the people I see trolling WoW threads don't have a half decent character, dispite it apparently being casual and easy to get the gear. Most of them have bad PvP achievements, bad PvE achievements, mediocre guild histories and aquired that easy to get gear months after everyone has moved onto hgiher tier content.
A lot of them are the same people that complain because they want to experience the story continuation and see familiar faces and places from WC3 but can't because they're not in a decent enough guild to do it. Then they complain that Blizzard make the content easier after a while just so those same casuals can actually get to see the content out of fairness and intention of pleasing more of its players.
Since WoW already has millions of active subscribers, how exactly can it "make" anymore?
Morphic
Cataclysm is to bring more people back, not necessarily to make more subscribers.
Its marketed at people like me; people who have played it, loved it, but have moved on. It is going to give us a chance to make new characters, and level from 1-85 in a completely redone world, with completely redone classes.
Blizzard is not going for anyone but current and retired WoW players.
I cannot wait. December 7! WOOT
WAR has good sieges, but way less balance. LOTRO had a more immersive factor because of the universe, but the leveling is reminiscent of vanilla WoW and the endgame raids are nowhere near as good or numerous.WoW realy isnt that good of an MMO as many make it out to be...Warhammer has better pvp by far, Lotro had better PvE, DAoC was better all around imo.
