If i go from a p4 640 3.2Ghz 2Mb cache to a C2D e6300, i also have a 7900gt ko and i would also have to switch my ram from ddr1 pc3200 to ddr2 pc5400 just wanted to know if i would see a noticable difference in gaming and general desktop performance.maverick198404Yes. You will notice a performance increase in applications and games.
Umm you will also be buying a new motherboard also if you need to switch from ddr1 to ddr2aft_lizard01
Yeah i know to keep the cost a little bit lower im going with a msi P965 NEO which almost keeps up with the better mobo's just falls a little behind in memory performance and hard drive performance but not a big deal.
Also one more question is my currant 3.2 p4 Bottlenecking my 7900 gt ko?

That would be a bad choice. The Biostar 965P TF is just a few dollars more and works alot better than the MSI P965 Neo-F. Regarding your P4 bottlenecking the 7900GT, no... there shouldn't be a much of a bottleneck there. Please Log In to post.
