[QUOTE="FelipeInside"]Why do people say ME2 story was horrible? "Horrible" is a strong word. Maybe it wasn't as new and good as ME1, but far from horrible imo....cain006

The storyline is cliche and barely there. The game relied almost solely on the characters in terms of its storyline.

Ok, maybe cliche....but not HORRIBLE, lol....

ME2 more than makes up for the cliche main story with really interesting side-stories and expansion upon the lore. It's really more of a build up to ME3.

As for people arguing about ME2 being dumbed down, ME1 was hardly a brain buster. Even on insanity you had to do little more than move your squad in the right places and use a combo of abilities (soldier was God mode hald way through the game). ME2 just eliminated the annoying, pointless interface...although why they gave you less abilities and 100% reliance on cover with eye-sore crates all over the place God only knows.

I miss complex RPG's and so do many others in this forumMyopicCanadian

I hear you. I think what happened isthere were more complainers against ME1 on the BioWare forum than those who defended it. So we lost Inventory management and other RPG tasks.

I was glad to see the Mako gone, however. I grew tired of feeling like a drunken monkey was driving (due to topography), and why every planet had to have so many Mt. Everests on it.

Also, you got fewer XPs using the Mako to kill enemies - you got more XPs if you exited. No way I was going to fight a maw on foot in ME1...no cover.:o
