You'll still be able to run on very high settings given the monitor is only 1366x768 native resolution. My aging Intel Core 2 Duo e6550 and x1950GT graphics card run WoW on high settings in a full 25-man raid environment at 1680 x 1050 at well over 30 FPS, and this laptop is leaps and bounds ahead of my setup.

It will play the named games as both can scale back to run on pretty old hardware, but that with limited graphical quality. A lot of new games are simply out of reach. To any slightly serious gamer such a chip is definitely no-go.

An X1950GT is a much faster graphics card than an HD 6370. Sure your card is old, but this is a notebook IGP, it's not really meant for gaming machines.

the 6370 is a solid chip it will play SC2 and wow and source games too.. its a little better than the hd 4570

I don't really wanna spend a ton on a new laptop....

Should I go with this one? That one guy says the video card in this runs like integrated on board graphics... That doesn't sound good.

Would I be better off waiting a year and then buying better technology?

what you selected was okay really it was.. whats your budget perhaps we can be of assistance in picking one.. your decision will work its jsut that.. some of us feel its not doing you the consumer justice

My budget is 800 bucks. I can get the laptop I posted for 700 bucks from Costco, and it comes with a free 2 year extended warranty, and since I don't know how to build laptops I wanted to do that.

the second one is singificantly better and able to play most games on medium or high its roughly equivalent to an 8800gts video card and should take you through thick and thin. this being said the 5650 pc isnt a half bad choice either able to hold its onw on most games at medium

and before you ask.. yes you can play crysis 1 on medium with either. there you ahve it two solid options for the same or slightly more

well both have the option to be covered by newegg's extended laptop service plan for 70 bucks more it adds 2 years parts & labor from a newegg certified technician should there be any problems with it

they have a no lemon policy meaning that if a problem occurs 4 times in a row they replace it free of charge. shipping it back for repairs or replacement is free, you get 365 days a year customer support(24 hours a day). not bad for 70 bucks more

I swear by Newegg - I've built at least four computers in as many years with my own money using parts exclusively from them - and ionusX's recommendations are probably what I would go with if I were buying a laptop myself. That being said, Costco has exceptional coverage relative to other retailers; exceptional. Consider carefully how much value you put in having the protection offered by Costco versus superior hardware at the same price.

significantly the 6370 CANT play alot of games at all.. the 5650 and 5730 can play jsut about every game on one quality or another
