Yeah. This was the desktop redesign in 2013.
I'm not sure what's going on with the case only pro mac but it looks ugly to me and I don't think anyone buys them.
[EDIT] Pictured is in fact a workstation and not consumer grade but pro grade and starting at £3000 is cheaper than I thought they were and they review well so maybe they are popular. I think they just had a shaky release.
Having read the Tech Radar review of the December 2017 Mac Pro I'm impressed.
It is "...the most powerful computer Apple has ever produced." and goes up to 12 Xeon cores (8 with hyperthreading).
I you had infinite money. The 8 core £6.5k model can run Batman at 45fps lol.
Running Batman: Arkham City at 48 frames per second in Ultra HD quality is no mean feat, and imagine how quickly games will run when they're optimised to use both graphics processors? If you're a high-needs user, the new Mac Pro is exactly what you need.
