I am thinking of buying the Windows Wireless Gaming Receiver and the 2 games for my brand new laptop. First, I want to see what you all thought of these 2 games on Windows/Vista?

I can't speak for halo 2 on PC because I havent played it(but I did play it a fair amount on 360 and feel no need to play it more).

As for shadowrun I find it really fun one of freshest FPS games I've played in awhile. It's shortcomings are the fact there only like 9 maps and you have to WIndows Live Gold to get into a good game at odd times. Those 2 problems put together mean its debatable whether not a Gold subscription is worth it

I'd recommend shadowrun despites mediocre reviews, but you can always play non Vista only games on Vista as well every game I've tried on it runs perfectly.

Good luck on your descision.

Halo 2 is a glitchy mess, google it if you don't believe me. Shadowrun is pretty cool though but be prepard to pay for Xbox Live Gold.

You don't have to sign up just use the same gamertag log-in info. I think both titles are decent but your interest in Halo 2 depends on how much you played it on the xbox. In my case i hardly played it so I am having a blast going through the campaign on heretic.

Windows Vista is a great operating system for gaming. There are only Two titles avalible halo 2 and shadowrun that use the Games for windows live. Halo 2 is good but its three years old so you probley played it. Shadowrun is a realy fast past shooter and its cross platform. They annoucedfive new titles to us games for windows live. Games like Gears of war, Juiced 2, Universe of war, viva pinata, and kayne and linch.
