What is the best way to play games that aren't compatible with mac? I just found my xp installation discs so I'm ready to give one of these a go but which is better/easier? I have no idea how to work either, never done it before, so as much info about it would help. Thanks in advanced.

It depends some games run great with wine while others don't and you may have to wait for a patch. I would just install wine and see If you having a problem with a game you can look it up on http://appdb.winehq.org/ to see if there is a workaround. What are the specs of your mac and what are you trying to play?

The steam client kind of sucks, but source based games run great as it uses OpenGL. Never tried guild wars but it seems like it works fairly well on the appdb.

I really don't know what I'm doing. I downloaded and installed wine (full name darwine 1.1.7?) and the two new things in my applications are frontforge and a darwine folder. Frontforge doesn't do anything when I open it, it opens and the icon pops up on the dock for a second then goes away, and the darwine folder just has .exe's in it and the wine.bundle it comes with won't open.
