[QUOTE="Pliskn-inc"]yeah thanks but one more question, is it better than wow.........? ill let you noodle with this any opinion welcome!whitey_rolls
It's a completely different game since guild wars isn't actually an MMO .... I've never played WOW so I can't actually say it's better or worse I can just say it's fun, and I also think it depends on how much time u have to commit to the game ... with WoW from what i've heard is you almost need to spend 6 hours straight playing once you at higher levels to get anywhere .. In Guild wars the longest missions only take 30 minutes and then you can stop and you can leave for a few days, weeks, months and pick right up where you left off6 hours might be alittle exgeration, what gets me though is its for the most minscule thing that every one else has..
I have played far into the end game of WoW.. I honestly hate it atm just due tot eh shallowness of the end game.. It requires the largest amount of itme for teh smallest improvement possible.. The game to me and many people found it to be more of a chore.. Things such as PVP fun earlier on turn into a grind at the end where you just do it to get honor do to so many people owning you who spend tons of time for items... Â
WoW IMO has one of the worse communties for a higher par multiplayer game.. Think Diablo 2+ Warcraft 3+ 12 year olds, and that basically sums it up... WoW to me was great till the end game, but at that end it was just too shallow...
Guild Wars is a very cool game with many different classes depending on the expansions you take.. Items in pvp hardly have any bearing on pvp its all about strategy and builds, there is no owns all builds.. The game is alot like chess in a way that each build class has their own roles that can be used to take out some one else... This imo is the games strength and flaw all into one.. On a pve perspective there isn't much you can go beyond for best items, infact you can get some of the best items in the game for cheap.. Really no anticipation or surprise when an item drops as much as other games.. You do not feel like you can strengthen your character... The only other gripe I have about it is no auction house making selling or buying items a nightmare at times...
The skill sets in the game is very very VERY cool giving you hundreds of skills that can be mix and matched to make a completely unique build.. Honestly imo if I were to get Guild Wars agian, I would get Night Fall.. Over all the story is way better imo over Prophecies.. The first alot of times jumped around to things I didn't care about such as putting off what you think are the main bad guys in the game (charr) and putting them off to never see them again.. Missions in the game are spectacular in the sense you will alot of times will want to do it over agian...Â
The community is alright, you will come across some real jerks it being free and all.. But you can play the game solo for quite awhile..Â
In the end if your a pvp player, like story driven events, as well as instance of your own.. GW is for you.. People who say that woW has a story line thats better then GW, I just wonder WHERE? You are given quests such as giving the lunch the husband left behind from his wife..  Onyxia was the closest thing to a secure set of events and it was simple to not even need to read the text (thats not really needed to be read I might add).. Â
