Yes its only 1.6, source still is fine. I guess ads are the price you pay for super cheap game.MartinRiggs15
Source will be next.
Man, I thought this was a joke at first, that's really lame.

[QUOTE="thusaha"]I really hate those in-game ads.1337_ownagewhy.....they dont screw with the gameplay.....
(Buy Aspricream) They don't screw with (Welch's Grape Juice is delicious) the gameplay at all. There's nothing wrong with (AMD>Intel, buy today!) ingame ads just sitting everywhere. We should have games where (Discovery.com Best tv channel ever) the maps are built out of ads, why see any walls at all?
I think those are fake.
Why? Theyre too obvious. Valve respects their fans, and while I dont doubt that ads could be put into the games, I doubt they would be that upfront and obvious about it.
not only that, but I have yet to see any ads on any server I have played on.
In-game ads could be a good thing as they may make games cheaper. What would be really interesting would be if a developer made two versions of a game, one whith ads and one without. But the one with ads was about half the price or something. Which would you choose?Agent_13from what i've seen, ads can account for a couple bucks of a game's price. usually $2 or so, maybe a bit more in special cases... but definitely nothing big enough to make us actually notice.
