I have been playing since Vanilla and Cata has made me quit. They are changing nearly everything and personally I run with a small guild. I don't want to have to join a huge guild just to get the guild perks. I also don't like the new spells that they are giving to some of the classes. Etc etc etc. In the long run I was just looking for any reason to quit and Cata gave me that in spades. My sub ends August 25thtestfactor888Welcome back to potentially being a functioning member of society. I've been 'WoW Sober' for a couple months now, best thing I ever did was quit that game.

My sub ends August 25thwhitey_rollsWelcome back to potentially being a functioning member of society. I've been 'WoW Sober' for a couple months now, best thing I ever did was quit that game. I have been sober for about 6 months as well, It is not a game for anyone that has a competive streak in them. I tried it again last weekend and already deleted it. Going back I donr see why I was so wrapped up in the game, everything felt outdated. I think I will play cataclysm but I dont think I will ever be hooked like I was before. I have personally seen this game ruin a friends life at work, he just quit his job, he is going to life with his GF who has rich grandparents that are paying for her to go to college, little do they know all she does is waste there money and play wow.
I guess that is one way to do it, but to me playing that way is not worth playing. Raiding is the most fun WOW has to offer, sorry but leveling is a grind, dailys are a chore, there may be people that enjoy that level of play but for me, if that was all I was going to do I would not play at all. I doubt many people play the way you do, for most it is a addictiave nightmare.[QUOTE="Advid-Gamer"][QUOTE="FelipeInside"] You CAN play WoW casually until you hit maximum level. Then you can do daily quests, BG or start a new character.... Raiding of course isn't casual, but raiding isn't the only thing to WoW. Take me for example....I play casually until I hit maximum level. Then I play for a bit more trying to get better gear or even following some storylines. Then when I get bored, I stop, pause my subscription and wait for next expansion to level my character. CASUAL PLAY. FelipeInside
Fair enough, I understand your point of view.
I mostly play it for the settings, the lore (exploration, places) and the great storyline lot's of people miss cause they just press ACCEPT on the quest instead of reading it. Guess not many people do....shame....
The story telling in WOW is not very good, other wise more people would care about it. For how you play the game, I dont see why you waste $15 a month, seems there are better games out there to play.[QUOTE="FelipeInside"][QUOTE="Advid-Gamer"] I guess that is one way to do it, but to me playing that way is not worth playing. I don't play it anymore.... I got bored of it. (like I said in my post, I stop once I get bored). I might not even play it once Cataclysm hits, since I am waiting on DC, GW2 and ToR and not enough time. As for story, the story telling METHOD is not good at all (LOTRO does it very well), but the story in quests are pretty alright in my books...people don't die because they watch tv.GummiRaccoon
oh yeah? :P http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Family+killed+Quebec+sinkhole+watching+when+landslide+struck/3016253/story.html
Anyway it's called having an addictive personality and lack of self control. These people LET their lives get ruined. There are literally millions of people who play WoW and DON"T ruin their lives. That's not the game's fault, some just can't help themselves.
No, human stupidity kills people....not MMOs...[QUOTE="FelipeInside"][QUOTE="GummiRaccoon"]
He asked for my opinion, so I gave it. And yes, mmos literally kill people.

people don't refer to wow as crack for nothing
I'm pretty sure those people died because they didn't eat for days, not because they played World of Warcraft.
