I sure wish there was an MMO that looked good and didn't suck... I'm glad blizz FINALLY updated the water to not look like an N64 game but, that's it.. /depressed

I didn't really care for the cinematic, I think it should have been longer and showed more stuff... Sure was pretty though, but all blizzard cinematics have looked wonderful.

Wow's sorta like Final Fantasy ~8, amazing cinematics, total letdown in-game. :D

And yet the WoW movie is going to be live-action. I still don't understand why.attirex

Not bad. I thought it was better than Lich King intro. Well the Lich King is more emotional with the father talking, but this one gets you more pumped up to play. I'm pretty much done with WoW at this point though. I might try Cataclysm eventually, but everytime I think of WoW I think of repeating the same stuff over and over. Mainly raiding. It's just so boring killing the same bosses over and over until finally everyone has the items they want. I'm pretty much bored after killing the bosses the fifth time. I play for the story and lore, not for the gear, but I'll probably still buy it one day.James00715

I saw this the other day and thought it looked pretty unimpressive but that is probably because I think the whole expansion looks like crap. Hence why I quit WoW back in July and moved onto other gamestestfactor888

Besides making little sense, this was one of more boring Blizzard cinematic sequences ever released. (Yeah, I do know some cultures haddragons of the earththat moved or shifted,causing earthquakes. But the literal implementation that Blizzard elected to take is less than exciting.)

I thought it was a pretty good intro although they could have added a glimpse of the two new races at the beginning before Deathwing was released. You know, have this little montage of the races celebrating over the triumph of the Lich King and all that.

There are plenty of MMOs that cater to people who want their MMO to be a full time job or whatever crazy masochistic ****. One of the reasons for WoW's success is that it doesn't demand that players obsess over the game in order to get anywhere in it.

Like I said, there are games for those people, but WoW is not that game. Maybe it sort of was that game when it started out, but I don't think that was ever really Blizzard's intention. They clearly wanted to create a MMO for the masses. I think the reason it was like that at the beginning was that they had a lack of endgame content anyway, so they needed to drag it out.

I don't play WoW anymore, but that's my take on it.

the 40 man raids were much more fun and felt more epic than 25, 20 and 10 man raids. That's not an arbitrary number, that's the opposite of arbitrary, he's picking a number that he already knows is better than 10 and 25.
