To me its worth the price. Its a quality game, and it will last you months and months, if not years (as in my case).
Think of it this way: lets say during an average year you buy 12 games, one game per month. Out of those games, you might really truly enjoy and replay four of them over the next couple years. So basically you bought 12 games, and only four of them were worthwhile purchases.
Now consider WoW. Its initial cost is 30 dollars, plus 15 per month. Since you constantly play the game and there is so much to do, you might end up buying only four other games per year.
I have to tell you man! It's worth every single $! Don't be afraid of those addicting part, all games have those capabilities. It would depend on you if you'd be caught in the web.:)
World of Warcraft is the best MMORPG I've played, amongst Rising Force, Ragnarok, Priston Tale, City of Heroes/Villans, Guild Wars and several others... and... yes ! It worth every $ you will spend ^^
If you're into that kind of thing, go for it. The $15.00 doesn't seem like that much after you've gotten addicted, and you'll enjoy the time you've spent playing it, although you will spend a good chunk of time doing just that.
I think that for 15 $ a month, it's not actually that bad. World of Warcraft owns, but I like Guild Wars and its free. But WOW is still a pretty Awesome game, so its not a waste of money.
If you like PVP more than PVE do not get WoW. It is a great game but it is more PVE heavy than PVP. If you are more interested in PVP get Dark Age of Camelot or just wait for Warhammer Online or Darkfall online =).

WOW offers PvP servers which are (well, obviously) dedicated to PvP players. Really competitive compared to others IMO.
Your 15$ are really worth if you buy this game WOW bcoz in this game you can not be bored and all the quest here are petty amazing and pretty cool, there's alot of cool character here that you can easily level it up. You can also get lots of stuff/item, weapon and even a pet. :D
The PVP is actually pretty bad..You get killed you die..that's about it....No real penalty involved..at least when I played..
This same question comes up everyday..It's all opinions from either people who like or dislike the game...So just pick the answer you like and go with it.:roll:

Yes dude! It was a few years ago as I heared It (as long before WoW has been done). I find It $tupid! Someone must kicked the a$$ of Blizzard for this $tupig idea.
Well there are many reason they charge for 15$ a month. Of course they have to pay for maintenance man. You wouldn't make a game then give it away for free right?
