Resident Evil 4
Dead Space
Saint's Row 2
GTAIV
Bioshock
I found with bioshock is was really hard to navigate through your god damn weapons.
Those are some crappy ports to PC.

Why do people call GTA IV a bad port? It controls better on PC, it runs better on PC, it looks better on PC. Have you played the console version? The game is a blob, you can't even spot shapes. Not to mention it dips below 20 fps sometimes.GeneralShowzer
I think the fact that it didn't support ATI (now AMD) cards in the beginning and it needed a quadcore CPU to run decently made people call it a bad port.

Aren't there also missing textures, memory leak problems too?[QUOTE="G-Lord"][QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"]Why do people call GTA IV a bad port? It runs perfectly fine on my secondary rig (in sig) which is a dual core.. even before the patches were releasedSPBoss
Looks like 3.9 GHz might be enough ;)
I used to run the game at 3 GHz with a Core2Duo and didn't manage to always get over 30 fps even with the lowest settings. Getting a Core2Quad helped a lot.

Conviction is worse. And the sad thing is it's using Unreal Engine 2.[QUOTE="FelipeInside"][QUOTE="skeleme"]

Conviction is worse. And the sad thing is it's using Unreal Engine 2. I disagree. Double Agent had missing cutscenes, KEY to the story..... it locked up, lagged, and crashed numerous times.....tales of saved games lost..... and graphics missing from the PC version. Conviction had some optimization problems in some levels, but I played it through start to end without any major hassles.[QUOTE="FelipeInside"]

You beat me to it. By far, the worst port I have ever played.
The game was actually broken for me for the longest time. There was a control panel I had to use to complete the first mission, but I was unable to reach it because I kept falling through the floor in front of it. Had to wait for the patch for that one.
On top of that, the game had horrid performance issues, looked worse than the Console version, and it only had a few small resolutions to choose from (none of which fit my then 16:10 monitor). Much of the story didn't make sense due to missing in-game exposition and/or cutscenes. Random bugs everywhere. Self-corrupting save game files.
Worst. Game. Ever. For those who need further proof, click here.

All correct until last line. Game was fine, even GREAT in part. You should have said Worst. Port. Ever. LOL :)Halo 2. It's basically like running a legal emulated rom of the xbox version. I had to turn Vsync on because the framerate was too high - this led to severe issues (input from the mouse and keyboard were very slow). It was literally the xbox version, but it felt worse because of the higher resolution but retained the xbox graphics, and it was obviously built for a controller and not mouse and keyboard. This was supposed to be a game to sell Vista, rofl.

were the worst ports i ever played.the res maxed out at 640x480 or mabe it was 800x600 but in any case they looked like crap on pc and were pretty much unplayable if you didnt have a game pad.ps1 games didnt translate well to pc at all
GTA4 by far, I can run Crysis on maximum settings with no lag but when it comes to GTA4 It stutters to the point of being unplayable.
andalore
Yep, when you get high enough in the game world (like on the skydiving mission in BoGT) the textures are entirely messed up. Awful port, still a great game though.
GTA 4 was the worst by far I can't even play it to this day without horrible lag its simpily unplayable.

What's wrong with the AvP port?
This: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_S9JuXRLIU I still cant figure out how they messed up so badly. Something triggers it for some people on the highest texture quality settings.GTA IV (at release....it's fixed now...took a while though)
but I think, in my experience, Force Unleashed takes the cake and eats it too. The game takes up 35gb for a 6hr singeplayer only game. Framerates were single digit, then the patch that fixed the framerates was 2gb and increased the install folder size by 5gb.....wat?
