[QUOTE="wigginender"]Mass Effect; gave it two chances and un-installed it...RobbieH1234Yeah, I'd have to agree on Mass Effect. How far did you get?
Not far, only up to the train station (The Rogue Spectre), I find the controls in a fire fight so awkward, leaning against a wall and trying to shoot the troopers is terrible. It is a beautifully crafted game and I am sure there are many BioWare fans but I am just not one of them. Either that or I just don't get RPGs, having choices to respond with pulls me out of the game/story so much...

i didn't understand that part. choices pull you out of the game? choices pull you out of story? why?

You just have to practice the combat. Granted there should have been a tutorial but I think the combat is really strong and its cover mechanics are very easy to use. Give it another go!!

yes, entirely agreed. the combat is better than that in gears of war, imo. plus, it's got all that role-playing goodness. sounds like a winner to me.

I love the way in which your team mates will use powers and take cover by themselves. I noticed that came under some scrutiny on this forum but they are good well behaved...
This is a very good game..

i oftentimes don't even worry about them, unless i specifically need them to do something. which isn't very often. they do a good enough job on their own. of course, it would be more effective if i were to micromanage them, but my shephard (a soldier hottie) owns big time with the assault rifle, so i'm happy to let them be and give me support that way.
Mass effect it wasn't what i wanted there was no interupting and the universe felt too samll the equipment didn't fell different from one another.
I was fun once but i was hard work to paly it again.
I remember a long time ago in System Wars I was telling you guys that it was going to be a mediocre game, but at the very end I also fell for the hype for some odd reason. :(
BIOSHOCK!
Dear god... what a disappointment. Serves me right though, falling for all that developer hype. I should have just played System Shock 2 instead (played it about a year before only half way through, got freaked out and haven't gone back since, want to finish it, need to finish it but I don't know if I can).foxhound_fox
I was never hyped for Bioshock so I can't really say that it was a major disappointment to me, so in recent times I'd have to say that Crysis is the most disappointing game I have played, but it certainly isn't the worst.
Worst game -Hard to be god,Ascesnsion to throne
Most dissapointed -Bio shock this game is a piece of crap i just bought it bec it was game of year and gamespot had given it a 9.0
I think I must have been the only guy who actually liked Bioshock...a lot. To be fair, I never read much about it, only checked up on the amazing concept art they were releasing from time to time. Still though, it's one of my favorite FPS's of all time.
But anyways, my most disappointing game? SimLife. I ordered it out of a magazine in fourth grade, and I self-hyped it to be what Spore is now. Suffice to say that when I saw the sprites and sliders that represented the creatures, I was heartbroken.
Flat-out worst game I ever played? It's though, and I want to say SimLife again, but I have to go with Glover, for the PS1. It was a cheap platforming knock-off, and the controls were stupidly bad. I played it for approximately an hour before giving up on it forever.
Dang you guys must have extremely high standards for games. apparently every game must be one of the best games ever like system shock 2 or it is your biggest dissapointment. Oblivion was a great game, but all of you must've been expecting the second coming to think that it is the most dissapointing. Same goes for Bioshock
Biggest dissapointment: Smash bros brawl, im not really dissapointed with any games but i was just a little with this one, still a great game tho.
worst game:ping pals or a card based video game
The reviews made them out to be the second coming. Oblivion is the 3rd, 5th and 6th highest rated RPG of all time and BioShock is the 15th highest rated game of all time with a 95% average. When a game is that universally acclaimed, you damn well expect a brilliant game.Dang you guys must have extremely high standards for games. apparently every game must be one of the best games ever like system shock 2 or it is your biggest dissapointment. Most Disappointing: Oblivion, Half Life 2:Eposide 1, STALKER (the most buggy and unstable game I've ever played), CoD4 single player for being too short.
worst: Derek Smart games, but I got them for free coz he releases him online for free, and god damnit all of the games were terrible, I don't know how he expects people to pay him for his trash.
I can't believe how many people have Bioshock as their worst game. I can understand how it may have dissapointed some given the hype- but to list it as the worst ever... ?... Personally I think Bioshock is brilliant - awesome atmosphere and story.
Crysis is my most dissapointing game... Once I got beyond 'ohh' 'ahh' of the graphics I was left with a game that for some reason bores me to tears.

tm0054
and i can't believe you listed crysis as the most disappointing game - awesome gunplay and nanosuit powers.
once you get beyond the 'ooh' 'ahh' atmosphere of bioshock, it's pretty boring (and the story wasn't all that great, imo. though it was great for an fps...).
Worst: Well it's not on PC and I don't own it but my friend has a copy of Superman 64 and well, yeah.
Most disappointing: Deus Ex: Invisible WarandBioshock, holy s... do they suck compared to their predecessors, I mean how can anyone mess up a sequel as badly as Invisible War?! They already had everything perfect with the first Deus Ex, I would've just wanted another game using the same engine. And Bioshock, wow even Doom 3 would be a better sequel to System Shock 2 than Bioshock. I predict that Fallout 3 shall soon enter my most disappointing list too... *sigh*
stalker. the weapons are horrible and the bullets drop way to much. someone told me the bullet drop was realistic and i was like cool but then once i play i start to think theve never shot a gun before. i mean a bullet dosent drop and swurve to the side in 25 meters.
And then the dialouuge is bad. Barely anyone talks and when they do they talk out a whole novel so i never know whats going on since i dont wont to read a whole book.
very happ i didnt buy it

I thought Oblivion was a TERRIBLE game outright. People claim that it's not an RPG and that it's a good action/adventure game - but that's complete and utter bull. The game is an RPG. It's a terrible RPG. Game sucks. End of story.
i almost always read reviews or try demos, unless i already know it's good, like when valve or bioware release a game.
the worst game i've ever bought was ass creed. horrible, horrible game. i read reviews for the game, and i thought that no matter what, i'd still like the game, but it turned out to be total ass.
fireandcloud
That game went the other way around for me. I read a bunch of horrible reviews, but after I gave my friend's copy a shot, I went out and got it myself. I've played through most of it and I definitely haven't gotten bored.
The only game that even slightly disappointed me was medieval 2, but I got it for *free*, and yet I'm probably going to buy it, so I guess I've been pretty lucky with all the games I've played.

Unfortunately, I did buy Stalker. :(
most dissapointing:
turning point: fall of liberty.
worst:
this one spec ops game for pc. cant remember exactly.
Worst: Dungeon Lords. I pre-orded this POS, and now because of that I'm afraid to order a game without extensive research.
Dissapointing: Tabula Rasa. It had promise and it was nice to play in an MMO that is not a fantasy. But sadly the novelty wears off and the game shows its true colors of tedius repitition and horrible crafting.
