Nope. I am sorry but the E3 cutscene videos were misleading. I thought as I was buying my
first playstation (ps2), wow I hope most PS2 games have graphics as good as FFX but then
I realised that the cutscenes were very misleading as far as overall graphics quality for PS2
titles. Never again will I buy a FF game but I did come very close to buying FFXII because of
Fran. LOL

I never knew that linear games are always bad. I guess we should all be getting games like just cause or better yet true crime new york city as they are open-ended and must be amazing. Games like the HL series, doom series, and FEAR must all be a pile of steaming crap.
Â
Anyway, I wouldn't want to see the game come out on PC, mainly because I don't think it would translate as well. Just look at FFVII and FFVIII. Both games came to PC and didn't translate nearly as well as their console counterparts. Â

i thought FF7 was fairly well received even among pc gamers....at least back in the days. but you're right. JRPG is in a class of its own......we really can't judge it with standards mainly set up by western games.
as for the topic, hell yea. i've been hoping for X and XII ports, although i don't see how it's possible......

Considering that it was one most well recieved and highly rated RPG ever, I can say confidently that you are in the extreme minority. I'm just sorry that you couldn't enjoy it as much as many of us here did.

They all aren't, but that one was. It was so linear, I felt I was playing Sonic or Mario....Â
Idunno, I just really dont like the whole JRPG or whaetevr its called genre. It was hard enough for me to get into DnD-themed stuff with all the fairies, goblins, and stuff like that so the last thing I want is a bunch of stereotypical anime characters dancing around in 20 minute cutscenes.
Sorry, just not my cup of tea I guess.
