Would this give me 5.1 sound from an Xbox 360?

I have some old Creative Inspire T 5400 speakers and would like to have 5.1 from my 360 without spending too much. If I buy this

would it do the trick http://uk.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=207&product=15912 ???

Could i connect my old speakers there , and then connect the 360 trough the optical cable and have 5.1 sound? would it have any quality at all? Thanks

The optical on that is an output, not an input. It will not give you surround sound.
