In China there are several people that died in front of the PC playing WoW, the money that you spend every month to play in blizzard servers. That game is like crack or cocaine.

There is some companies already established in China that produces gold coins, that they sell to addicted gamers for real money.

Do you think that this game is healthy and fair????

P.S: about the addiction thing, it's bullsh*t, I leveled my hunter to 60 in 2-3 months with 9 days played in total, and I still got my grades and social life up, you have to be socially retarded to actually really get addicted to itsockerdude

Wow is a waste of time and money, when you get tired of Wow all that afford that you put into it is going to waste and also the money that you spend.

About that thing when you said that Koreans died with other games as well and that the gold coins business started a long time ago, this topic is about WoW not those games that you mentioned.

It's a fact that 10 persons already died playing WoW and the money that all users pay to blizzard and some people to pay for gold coins is a complete waste of money. Some people might really like this game, and I respect that position but WoW is killing people and ruining people's lives.

And about the P.S, I really doubt that's exactly truth.

You're acting like a WoW CD put a gun to someone's head and pulled the trigger. If someone lets their life go down the dumpster for a game, they already have issues.

Also, I'm so sick and tired of hearing this lame "I won't play MMOs because you have to pay to play" arguement. It's just another way of saying you're a tightwad. You're not buying the GAME with your $50, you're buying the LICENSE to run it. It's no different than when you sign up for cable TV and then have to pay for the cable box.  But you know what? I've never seen people picketing the cable companies because they have to pay a monthly fee to watch HBO. Just like people pay money to join a sports club or a gym, you are paying for a SERVICE. So next time you're about to spout some drivel about, "Oh, I bought the game already, I shouldn't have to pay to play it!" just can it, because nobody cares how cheap you are.

Ultima Online was all-round the best, problem is it costs a heap-load more to make one surpass it in all round-goodness, while creating an everquest-clone such as WoW took little effort at all, you can see how poorly designed both the engine and the coding is.

The linear Class system, /yawn.

Shaman - Caster DPS / Secondary Healer

Paladin - Melee Tank / Secondary Healer

PRiest - Primary Healer / Secondary DPS

Thats what it was in the first year, now though:

 Shaman - Primary Melee DPS or Primary Healer (no hybrids in WoW its a myth)

 Paladin Primary Healer / Secondary Tank >>

 Priest Primary DPS over PRimary HEaler

Yea thats right, Paladins have more Mana than Health, less armour that a melee dps shaman in dps gear, and its all-round accepted now by any smart guilds that Paladins should main heal and Priest spec shadow for the amazing DPS/Utility...

 Developers on it are awful.

8 million accounts...do you realize the data structure they have to employ in order to manage all that data? Of course not all 8 million play every day, thats a freaking given. But at some point over the last 3 years 8 MILLION people have logged into WoW, and it's safe to say at least 2-3 MILLION play regularly.

I would love to see how FFXI would handle 8 million accounts.  From the rants I have heard about that game, they can barely handle what they do have...

Man, all this flame is kinda funny. I knew this thread was gonna be mostly negetive, most WoW threads are nowadays. xD Anyway, WoW is a decent game, but its too insanly addictive that its not even fun and it gets boring at Lv40+. I'd rather have a social life instead of a WoW life.

And I do agree that Guildwars is a better game. ;)

What is your point with this? They were not prepared for 8 million players, but they didnt upgrade the hardware, they just unleashed a whole load more servers, which caused some servers to nearly die out, erm sorry not some, quite a few, again the cheap easy route out.

Nice you picked out the Graphical side, and completely ignore the AI, There is alot more to the coding in actions, reactions and the general straming of the world, and yes there are raids, although not called raids, and the PvE is 10x more than pressing 2 buttons like on WoW so a WoW fan boy is in no position to take the **** of content.

Yea Yea, Hundreds ofcourse /yawn , I could say the same about "Server crashed while raiding LOL" Youtube vids aswell, point is you didnt show one that was valid.

Played both, there was less servers, but alot more on each server, yea playerbase wasnt as large, that doesnt change teh fact that WoW's Servers & 6 year old engine are both so **** they had to go away from the main aim of the game and transform it into an everquest clone. More players? More Servers, the quality isnt effected remotley so again nice try.

Now go play it mindlessley, you have no idea the grief the game is getting the state it is in now, hence all the flaming on every forum ever, it was so last year, the expansion failed in many hardcore fans eyes (me for one).

I dont even play it anymore, but I know it is a quality game with a solid engine and coding. I am not the only one who feels that way ya know...it's won more MMO awards then any other MMO game in history, tell me, how is that possible if it is "disgraceful" engine with crappy coding? I have pointed out on more the one occassion your childish misconceptions and all you are doing is lashing out at the game. WoW is a technical masterpiece. While it is not without flaws (no game is without flaws), it certainly is not disgraceful. Thats the most idiotic thing I have ever heard...

You played the damn game for 2 freaking years, do you think anybody buys now all the sudden it is the crappiest game and it's engine and coding is disgraceful?  You freaking "scorned lovers of WoW" kinda piss me off.  You played the game so much and now you are sick of it, get over it.  I swear, it's like when people break up after 2 years, the only thing you have left is the hate and calling the other person names, meanwhile, forgetting everything else that made you stay with that person for 2 years.

Yep it is by far the best MMORRPG ever created but i no longer care for mmorpg's because after spending 3 weeks non-stop on WOW last year i realised that it wasn't worth it,not only from a money point of view but time point of view.

MMORPG'S should be restricted to over 18's only imo
