WoW subscribers rise and MoP sells 2.7 Million at launch

Not bad for a dead game...

This comes as no surprise... it's really a showcase how faithful the userbase is 8 years on, especially with the kid game, pokemon and kung fu panda backlashes and jokes.

I am throughly enjoying my time with MoP, I have seen many mebers of my guild return and I don't think any of them have had anything negative to say except for the way reputution is gained with the MoP factions. Biggest thing that has yet to be said, is that WoW just released in China, so those numbers aren't really reflected here so I would say this expansion is off to a good start.

I would like to know how people like the game compared to past expansions? I heard some where that this is the best expansion since Burning Crusade, is that true?sSubZerOo

Weren't the 2.7 million sales for the first week, instead of the first day? Cata sold 3.3 million on the first day trough.

I guess it is still a succes, now its just a matter of time to see if the subs will stay. Or we get a Cata repeat where the game loses another 3 million subs or more :S

I agree, I would put this expansion on par with BC in terms of the amount of content and features available. The raids in BC were some of the best that WoW ever had so only time will tell how these stand up in comparison. I was very skeptical like eveyone else when Mists was first annouced but once I got into the Jade Forest during beta I was completely sold that it would worth sticking around for.

The game is not, and never has been my thing.

Unlike so many on these boards when it comes to certain other games *cough*gw2*cough* I can say good for WoW fans, enjoy.

Oh there is a lot of stuff to do now. Only concern is what to do when you reach exalted with all of the MOP factionsLed_poison

Warlocks got the most changes to their class. Heirlooms are cross faction on the same server only. Mounts, Achievements, Some titles and pets are account wide.

the pandas are pretty dumb, not into it. but still a pretty great expansion overall.

It may be a great expansion but I just cant get into it, I havent been able to get into any mmo lately , I think I am over the genre. Questing in any mmo is boring as hell, back in the day I could get to 80 in a week, not I cant play for more then 5 min now with out being bored out of my mind. I have had the game for a week and still not even 86.
