WTF is thermal paste?

(sounds like some high quality lube...) 

A paste that goes directly between the heatsink and cpu itself. To help transfer heat better, one small tube will be enough paste for like 12 computers

Edit: forgot to mention that most new boxed cpu & heatsinks will already have enough paste on the bottom pre-applied.

Does a processor come with it's own heatsink? (Intel Core duo E6600)

Best not try to use it like lube. Unless you want your hands stuck, on you-know-what-I'm-talking-about.

The consistency of the thermal paste would prove difficult to use for that application..Baselerd

that's the point, imagine the commercials "Are you tired of never achieving that hot warm moment? now with Arctic silver, your heat transfer will be better than ever!"
