Don't really see myself making the full change to PC for games with the next generation of consoles coming out in a year or so. bb2945You don't have to, you can have the best of BOTH worlds. I used to have a 360 and then a PS3, and used to play PC and then go over to consoles for FIFA and exclusives (Uncharted, God of War etc). I later sold the consoles cause I wasn't playing enough of them. Saying that, you will 99.99% of the time get a better looking game on PC. The graphics of a standard PC overpower any console in the market, so imagine a gaming PC.... Also you get cheaper prices on PC, better controls (most of the time), more customization and even mods.

What about consoles on a top of the line HDTV? They would probably have a chance against a gaming PC.
Stop talking this game up guys, makes me want to play it....FelipeInsideDont buy into the hype on these forums, it has cost me hundreds of dollars in crappy games.

You could get the best top of the line HDTV, put a console next to it and it STILL wouldn't match the graphics from a strong gaming machine. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this as a PC Fanboy, because consoles graphics are great too, but just giving you the facts.

True, but I enjoy games most of the time even if some aren't that great. I don't look into little things and think the game is bad because of it. Saying that, I did try the XCOM Demo and enjoyed it. I was exactly what I was expecting, with the turn based gameplay. I used to love playing turn based but sadly these days I just don't have the time.

Nothing can compare to a proper gaming rig. The response time of a HDTV is so poor, I wouldn't plug anything other than a Blu ray player or satellite to it. Gaming on the TV is for poor people.

Depends on the TV. A good gaming PC is going to be cheaper than buying a big HDTV + Console/Games.
So far its quite fun, i have some issues, but it very much is nice change of pace from the normal rts.
I know I'm just nitpicking but it's not RTS :PSo far its quite fun, i have some issues, but it very much is nice change of pace from the normal rts.

its not that hard to build a PC but if you don't want to then you just go to.a computer shop and get them.to build you one FelipeInsideMaybe I will some day, but I don't have the resources available. The places around here might not have all the best hardware. I could figure it out by researching online, but then I'll have to worry I'm not getting the very best stuff. The video card is important, the monitor is probably important. I want to make sure the games will run smoothly as possible. RAM and CPU. What is this thing about a motherboard?

You do realize taste in games varies right? If there are thousands giving a game 9.0+ and you don't enjoy it the same way the problem is not the game, gamespot members, or hype, it is YOU. Even if one person in the world loves a game and shares it here it is not their fault if you buy it and don't like it. It amazes me that people are so arrogant as to think their view of a game is THE end all be all judgement.
All I know is this game is awesome, having a blast playing it. If you or anyone else doesn't like it not my problem for "hyping" it.

The motherboard is where everything gets connected to. The video card, RAM, CPU etc. It's also called the MAINboard cause it's exactly that, the main board where everything connects. Do a quick google search about basic PC components and concepts and u'll learn what each thing does. As for places, there isn't computer shops where you live? You can also buy a computer pre-made at shop or even online, and it arrives at ur doorstep ready to go (like a console).

There are probably a few computer shops around, but I haven't found any around here.
