XFX GeForce 8600GT 256MB DDR3

how much better would it be then my current GeForce 8500 GT 1GB DDR2????

I have a chance to get one pretty cheap and just want to know if I should get it, or save up to get something better.

Save up...not worth the upgrade IMO. Whether you can actually make use of a better card depends on the rest of your system specs. And they are...???
