Not buying it. Regardless of the fact that it looks mediocre at best on the PC, it just has way to many things going against it for me to even give it a chance. EA will not get another dime of my hard earned money until they back off all the anti-consumer BS and improve Origin to the point that it is on par with Steam
I'm personally torn on this game, I really like the aesthetics of the game but I just can shake that Call of Duty feeling I get from watching the gun-play. There doesn't seem to be really any skill at all in using the weapons since they don't seem to have any bullet drop or recoil to control. What you put your reticle on is instantly dead no matter the distance or if your jumping or in flight. On top of that the AI that plays beside you is dumb as rocks and might as well just not be in the game at all. I just can't fathom why they would put bots on a map instead of actual players, not only that but now you have an unnecessary mechanic taking up engine resources that could have been used for something else. I think a better system would have been keeping the matches 12v12 and making the Titans a resource to capture/control and use against the team instead of being given to everyone.

It's pretty ahead of Steam right now...

You mean an auto-aiming pistol isn't skill?!
@8-Bitterness: LOL you must be 'shrooming.
Origin has no where near the number of features that Steam does. It has only received minor updates in the last 2+ years since it was released and still missing a ton of features. EA just wanted a competitor to Steam, once it was finished they washed their hands of it. This isn't me being a Steam fanboy, there is literally no comparison between the two services, Origin is hopelessly, hilariously outmatched. Origin right now is as bad as Steam was at launch, only Steam fixed all their major issues and started adding features within about 6 months. Origin hasn't seen any major updates in about 2 years.
Nope, is published by EA, and the two latest games I bought from EA (BF3, BF4) were very bad in terms of bugs, developer support, overall quality and enjoyment. Also, I'm currently busy with GW2, TESO beta and I'm aiming to buy and play for a while RoS, so I don't have time for another COD wannabe.
Problem for us Aussies and this game are the servers.
The closets one is Asia and I would still get 100-130ms ping on those, so no buy for me for now. They are putting local servers on soon according to their twitter posts.

Really, I mean other than the games catalog and the community, there's nothing that to me at least Steam really excels at. Oh, and well Steam has much better security measures for sure...
The games library on Origin is fine, for the amount of games you can really have on Origin, the download manager is way better and not anywhere near as sluggish at Steam's, the chat boxes and the browser are both easier to use, and the overall look of the interfaces is miles ahead of Steam. I'm not trying to persuade anybody into moving from Steam to Origin (I use Steam 99% of the time) but if Origin is crap then Steam is a blatant insult (pretty sluggish too).
Should be noted that also one of the most important services that there could be, the money back guarantee (IMO as usual), is absent from Steam for the most part and the Steam catalog has the actual largest library of worthless crap in existence due to the volume of games on Steam. So many games I would've loved to get refunds from...
Depending on what you wanna use the programs for I can see how you can praise Steam and absolutely hate other options, but for me at least Steam is really falling behind and considering the resources at Valve's disposal it's pretty pathetic that they still manage to have such a crappy service going without ever actually improving it.

I agree with 8-Bitterness here. I use Steam most of the time, Origin to me is just a glorified launcher... but in most sections it's better than Steam. Stability (especially on Domains), download speed for both games and patching, speed of features added (Steam STILL doesn't have font resize which everyone asked for 12 years ago) etc etc.
It's clear Valve is now concentrating more on SteamOS and SteamBoxes than Steam for Windows, so I see that features that should of been there will never come around, sad.
I don't know why everyone has such a huge issue with Origin, it's just a better version of their old launcher and if you use it like that, as a launcher, then it's fine. Oh that's right, they must be scared of EA "spying" on you and all that BS from when it launched...
You guys must be using a different version of Origin than me, because that is just not true. The storefront is atrocious compared to Steam - poor layout, poor grouping, no social features, no community hubs. The service itself is a hodgepodge of DRM/anti-cheat systems, and frequently have conflicts between games and DLC registering case in point - Mass Effect 3 still has issues with disabling any singleplayer DLC you are registered to unless you download ALL DLC you have available. Their overlay is crap compared to Steams in terms of appearance and available features. Their multiplayer integration has barely been touched since release, hotjoin and parties are completely missing and the out of game server browser is frequently useless. Plus as someone else notes their library is like 2% of what is available on Steam.
EA wanted their own client so they could stop giving a cut to Valve, and since it was released they have made little to no effort to improve upon it, they basically reskinned the EA-DM and called it job well done. Origin 2+ years after launch is in a worse state now than Steam was 6 months after it launched, which compared to today is like comparing a 82 Ford Festiva and a Rolls. Sure they are both cars, but that is about where the similarities end.

Like I said, if you take it for what it is, a glorified launcher, it does what it needs to do and works fine.
We all know here you hate EA with a passion, but give credit where it's due and realize that Steam isn't perfect.
Origin really doesnt have any interesting games to make this point anything other than purely academic to be honest.
That's completely subjective to each person's tastes.

Then you can't compare it to Steam. Which is exactly my point. Origin is a glorified launcher like uPlay (and I would argue more annoying, I never had an issue with uPlay) Steam is far more than that. Even on it's own merit Origin is not very good at it's stated purpose, like I said it has long standing issues with DLC activation and server issues as well as bad anti-cheat software in many of it's games. Not to mention that craptacular launch preparedness for any AAA titles (Simcity, BF3/4, NFS:R).
And I am fully aware that Steam is not perfect. It is just 100x better than anything else available for what it does. I wish it didn't use as many resources as it does, I wish that they would look at the friends network DC issues, and I really wish they had better costumer service, but I can overlook all that, because as a hub for the gaming community it can't be beat.

you dont compare them?....
IQ here isnt that low
I can compare features of each client, since they use similar features, but they are both really glorified launchers.
Steam started as a launcher for Valve games, and I don't know about you, but the anger on the internet when they launched such a thing was excessive... thinking it was the end of user rights, that Valve wanted to spy on you (sound familiar?) blah blah blah. It was a launcher for a while and then it branched off into a full blown store and community hub.
Same thing is happening with Origin, it's basically the old EA launcher with new features and branching off into other sections (like Friends list etc).
I use both for the games that are required for both. I'm not going to let a launcher stop me from having fun with the games I want to play.

that sounds like a pretty good effort on comparing there
Well I guess yes then, lol.
Still, I don't really care if one is better than the other. They both have strengths and weaknesses but I use them both and they both work fine.
Steam though has been having issues on Domain Networks since they incorporated Big Picture for some reason.
It's looks like fast, frenetic fun, CoD gunplay isn't really an issue
So yeah, I'll get it when it comes out
I'm going to see what the reviews say and watch some gameplays. Because at the beginning I loved the beta but Respawn are a bunch of liars with the season pass and that made me less interested in the game.
ehhhh.... where did they lie again?

AFAIK it was all a confusion where they were actually saying there would be no Online Pass.
Game seems too casual for me so probably no.
Don't like the idea of bots in a competitive multiplayer game.
@FelipeInside: About a week after the beta they said there wouldn't be any Season Pass. Last week Respawn said that now there would be a Season Pass. That Sh!t move made me and many others give up on the hype that the game had built in us.
I think everyone just got confused to what they said:

A season pass was a given, especially if there is DLC. What's good about Titanfall is that there are no microtransactions which can lead to P2W.

God forbid there are microtransactions in a full priced game. Or making it pay to win.
I wouldn't buy it for sure then. I'm not buying anything that has a full priced model along with a F2P model.
@FelipeInside: Dude, either it's me that doesn't understand English well or it's you or you haven't been close the Titanfall news. Go from first to last link to understand!

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/titanfall-season-pass-is-25-contains-3-packs/1100-6418133/
So, as you can see first there wouldn't be any Season Pass but likely a dinosaur "DLC or whatever". A week later Respawn said there will be Free/Paid DLC, and the day after they had already made a price for the season pass. WTF!? From the link you posted, it looked to me that they are regretting saying that there will be a Season Pass.

Well to be honest I haven't really been following what they have been saying. As soon as I knew there was DLC, I knew there was going to be a season pass, anyone who thought the DLC was going to be free was kidding themselves.
As long as there is no microtransactions for P2W, DLC is fine.
