Just thought this would be a neat topic for those who have recently upgraded and know their old 3DMark scores.

I recently upgraded to this GTX 260 from a 7900GT. My scores with the 7900 were:

3DMark06: 4569
3DMark05: 8335
3DMark03: 18,427
3DMark2001 SE: 32,517
3DMark2000: 23,866

My scores now with the 260 are:

3DMark06: 13,833 (+ ~9300)
3DMark05: 19,736 (+ ~11,400)
3DMark03: 49,496 (+ ~31,000)
3DMark2001 SE: 56,951 (+ ~24,400)
3DMark2000: 36,664 (+ ~12,800)

I don't have Vista, so I can't use Vantage.

So what are your scores? :) This is just for fun. If you don't remember or never found out your previous system's 3DMark score(s), you can just give your current score(s) if you like. The 3DMark benchmarks can be downloaded here.

from what i gather 3d mark is extremely cpu biased. look at my score (10,943 or something) with a 4870 and e6600. my setup gets better fps than yours, but same 3d marks.

Definitely has to be from your OC'ed Q6600. What does it say your CPU score is?

Asus P5E-VM HDMI Socket 775 Intel G35f-a-d-3

It has old 1.1 PCIe right? Cause i'm wondering how much old PCIe would bottleneck 4870X2. Do you notice any bottlenecks? Srry for offtopic.

Ok. Great to hear that old PCI-E doesn't bottleneck it much if any at all.

i'm not exactly sure how 3dmark adds your scores together because i got 7450 on sm2 8003 on sm3 and 4988 for cpu which if added together equals 20,441 not 17846. Anyone care to enlighten me?

E6600/8800GTS 640mb stock both 8800 (ironic), OC CPU/GPU 11000. Stock HD4870 10500, OC 12500. Returned HD4870 because it is strong, but not an upgrade in most apps.
