I might have just missed the hype, but these are the games that just surprised me completely with their awesomeness: Riddick, Nox, Bloodlines, America's Army, Mafia, Dink Smallwood, Death Rally, TM Nations, Stronghold, Lords of the Realm 2, Hitman1, Outlaws, Twisted Metal 2, Interstate '76, Time Commando, Blade Runner.EntwineXYou, sir, get a +1 for mentioning Dink Smallwood. I'd also like to throw in my support for Nox. When it was released, it was passed over by a lot of critics for being a Diablo clone, but it was really much more.
Its not a PC game but underhyped to me would be Dark Cloud and DC 2were awesome and really sucked u into a very unique experiance
Giants: Citizen Kabuto
Boiling Point: Road to Hell
Max Payne 2 (turns out that this magnificent game didn't sell very well)
Outcast: god i loved that game. years ahead of its time.
Giants: anyone who didnt buy this game is a criminal :P. seriously though it was a cracker that sold nothing.
Anachranox: alot of love went into this game. how can ppl say no to a game which has 3 scenes involving socks?
I know I'm going to get flamed for this but Kill Switch, it was the first game to use the cover mechanic in a game. All of the gears of war GRAW stuff was born from Kill Switch and it gets no respectnebagaman4lifeIt might have started it but killswitch blows.
dungeon keeper/2 - perfect blend of base building, creature training, and combat. plus, DK1's graphics were outstanding.
Magic carpet/2 - if you've ever played through the campaign of either game, you know how fun it is and how sweet the spells are - this game NEEDS to be remade, if only by fans. By the by, are there any fan-made updates?
