Best free game i've played is Scorched3d, 3D remake of Scorched Earth. Its so addictive, playing online is pretty great also, although does require patience and if your playing with more than a few people, there can be long waits if you die early on. The developer is a cool guy also and listens to peoples suggestions to improve the game, its amazing how much work he has continued to put into it year after year.

About the GW Post: He is one of other people that miss-read my post he is saying you buy GW and you dont have to pay to play. But even that i didn't talk about p2p i talked about FREE. anyways the only p2p game i know is WoW but even that gives you a 14 day trial.
PVKII. It's a shame it doesn't work all that well on my new computer, as it's probably the best looking HL2DM mod. Must be an optimization issue, cause I'm quite certain I obliterate the reqs for a HL2 mod :?.
