A game where you had to put out fire's (on the commodore vic 20) and it was seriously impossible, you put out one and 3 lit etc etc and you had monsters attacking you aswell, never got play lvl1..........think it was bugged.

It was a Disney painting game. I can't remember a whole lot about it. There was also a Muppet game we had around the same time, though I can't remember a whole lot about it eitherJust-BreatheYou mean this?
Honestly, the first game that I played on PC was the original Crysis. I had built a computer specifically for that game. I fell in love with PC gaming from that moment on. My days of controller using were abolished the minute I tried a mouse and keyboard on a FPS game like that. Plus the graphics once modded at the time were astounding to me. I still don't think it has been properly beaten, however other titles have come close. What was the first game you ever played on a computer ?
For me it was Quake 2.

Populous 1 on the Mac
My grandpa got us a Mac for Christmas '96, and my parents bought this Top Ten Mac Pack or something that had 10 classic games. Populous was my favorite, but it had other good ones like Syndicate and Labrynth of Time.
prince of persia... the very 1st one. A friend had it on a 3.5" floppy disc :)

Is it that 2D platformer with isometric view? I played that (but just a little) at my friend's something-86. But the first game I got really hooked on was Aliens vs Predator. Been waiting for an equally scary game ever since.

No, it was filled with the Mickey and Goofy group. It didn't involve just painting in backgrounds, there was an animation tool included as I recall.
I was very young... Had some of those educational games like Math Blaster and stuff... Mostly ignored those and played the SNES. I eventually got Duke Nukem (1) but I really started playing PC games with Unreal Tournament, Age of Empires, and Total Annihilation.
I am very new to the PC game so I will add my game which was The Witcher 2 and it was such a great game to play as my first. I also had BC2 but I played TW2 first and played it straight for like a week without touching BC2.
My PC gaming origins are pretty vague, but I remember one of the first real PC games I ever played being a side-scrolling platformer game I got with a Taco bell meal when I was very young.
Old IBM computer from the 80s was Space Invaders for my first, then early 2000s on a gateway soldier of fortune, then early-mid 2000s halo on my apple g4, what converted me to mainly game on pc these days was fallout 3 on pc

I think it was either Need for Speed 3: Hot Pursuit or Duke Nukem 3D
Either one of these, I can't remember which.

I was going to link to the wiki's but Glitchspot is run by a bunch of high school dropouts who don't know how to properly code a website.
