Your worst/most regretted IT/computer related purchase?

So, we've seen threads asking us what our best purchase was, but I wonder what things people have regretted buying.What things have you looked back on and though 'Why the hell did I get that' or what things just weren't as good as you thought they were.For me it would be a a Dual layer DVD burner.Not becuase it was useless, I used it to burn a lot of DVDs, but it was when the DL burners were just coming out, the drive cost about $280 and I have never burned a DL DVD, not with that burner and not with burners since.That's what you get for buying new technology in the first month. :P

Besides Gears of War 2, RDR, and Halo Reach, I no longer had a use for my Xbox 360. I ended up selling it to a friend for super cheap, with tons worth of accessories. He was happy and I have more money to save or spend on PC hardware. :P I'll end up buying another eventually, when Gears of War 3 releases.. and also for LA Noire.. and then it goes back on eBay (maybe). :P

Crazy so many good games do out on the xbox this year..Should check out bulletstorm, batman some other games..Keep both my pc an my xbox an my wii..Though i hardly play my wiii..Bulletstorm btw same people who made gears 3...

My last computer before this one like 4 years ago. I decided to have a friend build it for me instead of me doing it and lets just say it was a bit dissapointing. My latest pc though I built myself and its the best pc I've ever had.

Definitely my XBOX 360. Not to hate on the console, I just hate consoles in general. I purchased the 20gb "premium" version with Forza 2. That set me back $600, which was almost all my money (was like 12 years old at the time). Considering my PS2 a few years earlier was $250 and came with 3 controllers, controller extensions, 5 games, memory cards and a network adapater (before they were built in). Bad choice buying a Xbox 360.
