Well I dont think the NDA is lifted, but I read on extremeoverclockers of someone saying that there is somethign about K10 that AMD is showing off.

Eitehr way, my X2 6000+ is gonna be here soon in June and it does 3.5Ghz @ 1.55v on air.  I think Ill be happy....can you say 3.7Ghz on water in September?

I feel kinda bad for AMD right now. They have to fire employees to cut their losses, and the HD 2900XT doesn't look too good, losing them the halo effect. They have K10 coming, but so is Penryn. Oh well, hopefully they will get ir done and we will see a strong AMD kicking intel's and nvidia's a*ses like the good old days

When was it AMD kicking Nvidia's asses?

I don't think AMD/ATi has been ahead in a cycle yet.

9800/9700. they weren't ahead, but they did what apparently, the HD 2900XT couldn't do. Beat the competition.

Ahead with AA/AF and PQ supposedly, but availability, pricing, drivers and sales not so much :? I think they just had to cut some employees because they had too many since they took over ATI....

They were ahead a bunch of times, infact if nVidia never made the 7950gx2, they would have been behind for the x1800 and x1900 and x1950. They were ahead on the x800/x850 series, along with the 9700/9800 series.  I guess you could say nVidia had the crown for the 7800gtx 512mb, but x1800xt p.e. 512mb was exchanging scores and fps with it.

They dont measure their wallets those 2 companies...they measure by benchmarks.  But money is how the world is measured.

All they did was cut somemore from marketing to increase their cash...
It's not like they cut a bunch of actual workers or researchers...

Gosh, people making comments without knowing all the facts, i.e. whole story.

You do realize how many assests they have acquired the past year, which is the main reason why their cash/profits are so low.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard (today). They could care less about benchmarks if they make a profit. The only color that matters is green.
