GTA III was the first ps2 game that made me say WOW. But the game I enjoyed most was GTA: SA. The best graphics on a ps2 game was Ace Combat 4 if you ask me. Shadow of the Collosus is a close 2nd to San Andreas.
Hmm. Tough choice, but if I had to choose one, I'd say... God of War 2. But that's very closely followed by games like God of War 1, Bully, FFXII, FFX, Disgaea 2, GTA: SA, MGS 3, Guitar Hero 2, and Kingdom Hearts.
I don't think there can be a best overall game because there a so many genres. At the moment I would have to say Okami, Shadow Hearts and Final Fantasy X :]
I'm sorry, but I can't answer that. There are just too many great games on ps2. Pick one: FFX, DQVII, Shadow of the Colossus, San Andreas, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Disgaea 1 & 2, Psychonauts, I'm sure I forgot some.

Definately MGS2 or 3. They havegroundbreaking gameplay and an awesome storyline to boot. Also, personally I dont find running around the virtual world picking up prostitutes dealing drugs and killing innocents all that appealing so I would never say and dont understand the appeal behindGTA.

i really have a LOT of ps2 games and the best of them i think that is shadow of the colossus, i also recomend you metal gear solid 3, residend evil 4 and god of war of course
