Im more of a fan to DMC then GoW, but both are good. i loved GoWI, but when i picked up two...i really didn't enjoy it much. Not that im saying its a bad game, but to me it was just blah. There were good parts that i really liked, but i like GoW better. If your looking more towards story, i would say GoW has DMC beat but in combat, id definetly say that DMC has GoW beat. Either way you look at it, you should get both though. I wouldn't want to miss out on good games like that...
Go with both if you have the money. The Devil May Cry series is now available in a trilogy package for PS2 for around $29.99. Which includes Devil May Cry 1, Devil May Cry 2 & Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition.
God of War unfortunately does not have a package deal yet. I guess having only God of War & Gor of War II isn't enough to have a package deal yet.
If you have a PS3, I'd recommend getting both games because Devil May Cry & God of War will have sequels coming up soon.
I've never liked the God of War games, it's just too unoriginal and uninspired.

Altough DMC has a Really great combat system, but verry verry bad camera ;\, really i can ruin your game,while GoW is great at every aspect, but,yea it's a little on the button mashing side, but the whole game is HUGE !
My advice is to pick both games, Devil May Cry1 and 3, and GOW 1 and 2. You will decide which is better !
Depends on you. What type of action games do you prever?
God of war is a fun action game where ya do not have to know what you are doing to beat the game. good graphics and story.
DMC3 has worser graphics because its an older game but more than makes up for this with its refined combat system. this game may have its hard moments but once ya get the combat system down ya will never have killed a monster so slick an stylish as ya will in this game.

Because DMC2 isn't very good at all. The gameplay is unresponsive, slow, and easy. The enemies are very stupid (infested tank anyone?) and the story is 1000 times worse then DMC.
