monster hunter i believe (cant remember) i try not 2 listen 2 those ratings though, and just pay attention to the reviews from people who bought it, i already knew its a great game because i played it at a friends house and loved it, o and i think that one of my mk series games are.
TBH the opinion of one reviewer does not mean much, if you can say the same after comparing at www.gamerankings.com then you got something to brag about :)
A few, Beatdown comes to mind, but it wasn't that bad of a game, although I won't try and fight the score it was given. It's a mediocre title at best. Gungaves were kinda weak too, but once again it's not about the score, its about the fun and they were enjoyable for the 2 hours it took to beat them.
Yep, and about 30% of my collection are games are probably rated 7 and below and i like them. Plus i personally think, there's more games rated above 7.0 on gamespot that deserve to be under a 7 than games under a 7 and need to be higher.
In total of the games Gamespot has rated that I own, only these are below 7. Mario Party 5 - 6.9 (Is a fun game actually, but not too good) Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 - 6.7 (I have no clue how we came to own this, I know we didn't buy it) Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg - 6.7 (My girlfriend thought it would be amusing, and a year later has yet to play it) The Punisher - 6.5 (I think it's criminally underrated) Devil May Cry 2 - 6.4 (Got it with the first and third when my girlfriend wanted them) Tomb Raider: Chronicles - 6.3 (got in a cheap 4 pack with Commandos 2, Deus Ex and Thief 2 - mostly for Deus Ex) Playboy: The Mansion - 6.3 (We thought it would be hilarious, and it was only $10) And yeah, ratings don't matter too much to me. What even a handful of people consider something isn't exactly indicative of what I will think. Plenty of games well into the 8s and 9s have been boring and crappy.
the only game i have that got below a 7 is dbz budikai. It got a 6.9 but i thought it was very good. I also own turok:evolution that got a 7 but it deserves a lower rating.
Predator?? I got duped into buying that game by some people online who convinced me the critics didn't know what they were talking about. So like I said..I got duped!
I paid $2.99 for a copy of XIII and for the money it is stylish and a well presented game despite its flaws.  well worth it at that price.
And I paid $10 for space channel five when it came out too... and not only do you get the quirky kitshy original game that was on dreamcast, but you get the sequal which was even better than the original.  Strange to me that it ranked so low when games like gitaroo man rank so much higher (and are about equal in fun)
so I dont regret either of my under 7.0 purchases.
Tenchu Kurenai (6.4) beatmania (5.6) Dance Dance Revolution Disney Mix (6.4) (I keep this because its worth a ton of money these days and Super Eurobeat is better than sex) Dance Dance Revolution Konamix (6.9) Rippin Riders (6.5) Funny part is, some of these are my favorite games.
star wars bounty hunter, some Dragon Ball Z game i played when i was in 3rd grade, simpsons road rage, james bond nightfire, probably more, i don't even ahve my whole collection on here cause allmy games are all the way downstairs....GS rating system is no good though, they rate games so weird whenever i read reviews i go to the YOU SAY rating so it's form a multitude of people instead of just one GS reviewer
I own several PS2 games that scored below a 7.0. GameSpot's opinion is not the be all and end all by any means. I have games in the 6's that I enjoy more than games that GS rated 9.0 or higher.
