well Final Fantasy is amazing and so is Kingdom Hearts and I love both series alot but right now I really enjoy the Dot Hack series and all of Nippon Ichi's installments I can't wait for Soul Harvest and Grim Grimoire. Oh and I haven't played Dragon Quest but I don't like Xenosaga...just something throws me off on that series and I dunno what.
Final Fantasy is hit and miss on the PS2. X and XII are good but X-2 and XI are not. Since Dragon Quest only has one PS2 game, and its amazing, i voted for that.
I stuck with your main list and went with KH.  I love the combat and I love love love the gummiship battles. FF's are shallow and require you to be an item juggler, xenosaga is tight but has no minigames or fun factor, I cant get into the LAME characters and story of DQ games on the playstation. Dq1-4 were the good ones for me.  And there are way to many other kick @#$ rpg's just to name one.Â
