FF7 remake true or false???!!!!!

i've been hearing about this for a while now, i heard that there was going to be a ff7 remake for the ps3, because of that technical demo showing the opening sequence for ff7 in next generation graphics, that got me excited because i really want to play the game with enhanced graphics on the ps3. BUT then square-enix said that the announcements of a remake were false...and there was no such announcement, the demo was just created to show ps3's graphical capabilities????!!! #@!@#$@%$

does anybody have any extra info about this? is there even going to be a remake?

Yeah, and SE has a whole team now devoted to remaking FFs. So it's quite possible that it'll happen.gman56

I think that they are using the rockstar concept of "do not repair things which are not broken". FFVII is one of the best game ever to date, and no i am not talking as a fan boy, but as a gamers. Hence if I were the head of SE, i think i'll just put it as it is rather than risking to ruin the name and quality of the game by remaking it. Remember what happen to FFVII:Dirge of Cerberus? It is quite a good game, with such a nice graphic. But it has a low rating due to repetitive and story-wise.

But we don't know this for sure aye? This is just my opinion. FF1 and FF2's remake on the PSone did quite well...

I'd LIKE to see a remake so they could make the game, you know, good instead of decent.  This way they can clear up all the "WTF?!!?!!!!!!" never answered and brought up in the original.

I'd rather see a kick ass remake of FF6, though.
