Final Fantasy 12 meh

I mean don't get me wrong this gameis good it just doesn't really feel like a final fantasy to me doesn't have the magic or flare that made the other's so exciting. Just the characters and storyline and most of the game music is not as memorable as the others i remember playing.

i didnt like the game, FFX is by far better, the new fighting system is crap and the music sucked

It seems like this game lacked a certain quality that all the other FF's had. Its a great game, dont get me wrong, it just was missing something...

I didn't really grow to like any of the characters all that well. Maybe character development?

yeah theres hardly any infomation about the characters background. Seems the political storyline about 2 nations in conflict is more important then any character development which is a shame really because some of the chracters were quite interesting.

the story was ... oh wait, there was not story in the game...

But the gameplay was SOOO GREAT that I loved it anyway, lol. I hope that the 13 will be like that, with a story! :D

and am i the only one that thinks the the summons in this one are tottaly useless?? i mean....they die so fast~

The score is brilliant. The game has some of hte best characters of the entire series, and the storyline is, far and away, one of hte best of any RPG ever. It's very dark and extremely complex. It is well written, directed and structured. The voice work is easily the best in the series. The dialogue is actualy very good, which is a nice contrast to typical FF dialogue. THERE IS NO MUSHY CRAP! It has tons of fantastic political intrigue and more plot twists than you can shake a stick at

i didnt like the game, FFX is by far better, the new fighting system is crap and the music sucked

FFX was like the worse ever! FFXII was good the 1st time round BUT 2nd, MEAH! FFIX and FFVII are still the best;)

FFXII is also rated 16+, so if your under 16 and complaining the stories too complex it's your own fault really.

The story has many levels within the game, someone with no imagination will only find it boring.

Yeah it was the worst.

man ff12 is tight game. I love the storyline and character their is character devlopment you just have to play to find it. The game play is much fun and don't have to worry about random battles. Gambit system is not that hard you make gambit to heal and get rid of status effects like sleep,blind etc..

the story's pretty meh, but the new adb system makes it fun enough for at least 1 playthrough.

I didnt like 12 much either the games story was kind of blah, and the combat was horrible.The Gambit system still confuses me to this day. Is the game suppose to feel like your playing on auto pilot half the time. Final Fantasy VIII and X are much better in my book.Giff1988

yeh man that is true you can just turn all the gambits on and you don't even have to do anything, it's kinda pointless

Did anyone actually play any FF games on the SUPNES? I actually dont recal ever seeing those games for sale herein the US. I assumed they were relased in Japan only for the longest time.

Nuff said! The 1stFinal Fantasy game I was introduced was FFVII, then I went back to the Anthology series I through VI. I've played through VIII, IX, X, X-2 & XII. Yes, I didn't play XI online because I didn't want to pay for the online fees but Iplayed the Beta & it was good enough. Out of all the FF games I've played, XII is a thorough combination of all the FF seriesjust enhanced, matured & modernized for the now quick paced players out there who've grown up with the FF series who demand more content. If you can't understand it, or you're bored..... well play the older versions again from the 1st series to the 12th & you'll see the connection.

This is the same thing that put me off the story. Even the characters are the same type of archetypes as the original films
