i have a bone to pick with EB. i've always gone to EB cause they're just my local video game store but recently i've been noticing how crummy they're stock is. more often than not they seem 2 be sold out nd the always pick-up series games (fracnhises like sports) while ignoring genuinely goodpro-games. an examply of this is i went 2 go buy shin megami tensei: persona 3 yesterday nd bam - none left, never bothered to re-stock - the game hasn't even been released in europe but we're out of stock. also they like to charge top dollar even though they're the largest gaing company round. i think from now on i'mgonna buy my games at K-Mart cause they are always like $20 cheaper

Electronics Boutique? I haven't seen that store in years. The one in Colchester disappeared about 7 years ago and a second GAME took it's place...

Well I think for best results you just have to preorder stuff. If they baught 50 copies of every game for every store they would be wasting millions of dollars. You cant show up months later and be like omg why dont you have this game!!!. And for new games k-mart and walmart both are within dollars of anyplace else. Your not going to goto EB and pay 40 for a new game and goto K-mart and pay 20 for the same one.

You're clearly online, that is where you should spend your gaming dollar.

I work at EB games in Montreal Canada. I know you are almost all from the USA, but maybe it have some differences in a EB in Canada and a EB in USA. I think we have almost all the released games except for some ones. Something bad with EB is that you can pre-order a game, but you can't order a game who is already released. It's normal that the new games are less expansive in K-Mart or Wall-Mart because these are supermarket so $$$....EB is much smaller so the deal to make profits is to sell used games and consoles.

Sorry for my english...I speak french

I wouldn't be surprised if Persona 3 is out of print, already.... It is an Atlus game afterall....

I suggest buying it direct... that way you're sure to get the complete box set.

Yeah, i had somearse at EB try and tell me when i went to buy Stalker, that the reason it didn't have the collector's card was because it wasn't the limited edition case. He thought i was an idiot, and i said "I happen to know that the collector's case is metal, and comes with a whole radiation pack, as well as a map of the Zone". I opened up the sleeve on the box, and pointed to where it said "askfor free collector's card". He then said we'', we're out of cards, so i made him give me a receipt with the price on it, so i could price matchit at Dick Smith's for the same price WITH the collector's card. What cheapo's, they wouldn't knock off a few $$ for the missing card. **** EB.

You know what really urks my apples? Gut Copies. I HATE paying full price for a new game, just to get to the register to find out I'm getting the last copy - the display model. Then if you whine and complain, the clerk will act like I'm absurd, as if he's never seen anyone complain about an opened box game. Then they put that freakin sticker on it, which leaves behind residue if its not pulled off correctly - its a pain in my keister. And no discount? What are they thinking? Why do I have to pay for something thats used, as other window shoppers put their grubby hands all over it? THAT'S NOT NEW!

the only time i shop at eb is if im looking for something used. I buy all of my other games at wal-mart and i find wal-mart or best buy to always have items in stock. and another knock against eb. I was buying a couple used games there the other day and ive bought games there for years now and i didnt have my id with me at the time and they didnt allow me to buy a M-rated game. I understand about them not selling to minors and respect that but they knew who i was and clearly knew that I was of age and were just being jerks because i happened to know the release date of a game that they didnt.
