I was thinking of buying a new controller for my ps2. I just rearranged my whole room since I got a new hdtv and all . Anyways, my bed is too far for the regular dualshock controllers so I was thinking of buying a wireless one. I hear Logitech's controller is the best on the market but at $40 it's also the most expensive that I know of. And there are tons of other 3rd party controllers that I can get for $10 or $20. So I was wondering if it is wirth it to buy the logitech or will the cheaper controllers work just as good?

Well, it is cheap considering the Xbox 360 wireless controllers are $50 new. Just go for it. I have used it, and it works nicely. Don't go with ghetto 3rd party accessories like Mad Catz. It is always a mistake.

This is a case where the old adage holds true: "You get what you pay for." You likely won't find a better controller than the Logitech Cordless Action Controller, regardless of price. (Their Cordless Precision Controller is good as well, but lacks the force-feedback/rumble that the Action model has.) It has the best range, best build and material quality, longest battery life (even with rumble on it's amazing how long the batteries last), and no perceptible lag at all in any game I've played.

The only thing that could improve it for me would be if it were shaped exactly like the stock Dualshock 2, which I still consider perfection in controller design. This one has an excellent shape though, very comfortable for hours on end and better than any other 3rd party controller I've ever seen. It's honestly a bargain at $40.

This is probably the best one that I know. I still have to wait a couple more days till I get this one cause I don't like wires anymore after having a 360. Don't worry about the price, it's worth the money.

Logitech makes the best third party PS2 controllers. None of that Mad Catz or Intec garbage, Logitech is awesome.

I actually prefer the Logitech PS2 controller over all other controllers. It's excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody.

I also have a Logitech Action Cordless PS2 controller.. but it got a little messed up after 5 months using it.. like some buttons got weared out.. and it had alot of problems recently.. even now i left it and i play now with tha sony dual shock.. but when its working normal its just great.. if i fix it.. then i will definately have it as my default controller
