yaa, my ps2 had the same problem but I think it was just because it was getting old, how old is your ps2 because mine is almost 5 years old and died recently:cry:
I think it's time for you to get another one if you got the big one and its at least 4-5 years old. My old one did the same thing except also it would play every new game I buy for it. So I just got another one.
