Does anybody know if I can still get a brand new copy of Sands of Time, and the other two if I like the first one?

There is a Prince of Persia Trilogy that has all 3 games in one pack.  Sands of Time, Warrior within and the Two Thrones one

Scan the internet is my only advice or try the bargin bins at department stores, but more then likely you'll have to settle with a used game.

Yep, sure can. The original had a large production run and then also went Greatest Hits of course, so brand new copies are still fairly common and inexpensive. You can get it for $14-$20 new from several online sources, and you should still be able to order the $19.99 Greatest Hits version directly from the publisher, Ubisoft:

Well, if you live in a PAL region, the PoP Trilogy pack is the only way to go. It's the price of one Platinum (Greatest Hits) game. If you don't, you'll probably have to pay more. You could also just import the PC version of the PoP Trilogy pack. But liking or not liking Sands of Time won't say anything about the rest of the series. I hated SoT for it's combat. It was just so bad and hard for the wrong reasons, it dragged the whole game down. But the story was written by the original PoP creator, it has the most puzzles, and is suited for all ages IMO. Warrior Within is definitely a mature game and more focused on GOOD combat. The Two Thrones kinda brings the two games together.
