Hey guys, I feel like buying a Resident evil game...oneof the old ones.

So I had one question, I remember seeing one resident evil game which had that crappy pause menu in which you press pause but still the zombies go around and beat you up, which one was it? just so I don't get that one xD

Also, which one you think is best, I've played RE4....

My advice is steer clear of both Outbreak files & the RE: Survivor Series as well, go for Code Veronica X on the PS2 it's one of the best & biggest and has a great storyline, actually you'd be able to pick up 2 & 3 for buttons now as well (PS one versions) look dated but still fun as heck.

oh I was just checking the review about outbreak file 2, the graphics seemed pretty good.

I told my syster that we should get an old one and then she said that resident evil doe veronica or whatever it's call but she saw the graphics and she started b****ing so I searched for one with better graphics...so which oe you suggest?

Honestly trust me Code Veronica X may not look as good on the PS2 as it did on the Dreamcast but it is a WAY better game than the Outbreaks, you'll get very tired of Outbreak very quickly, there's no real tie in with the RE storyline apart from it being set in Racoon City, also the fact that other party members walking about with you can get annoying as does getting infected and dying a good few hundred times.

CVX features Claire Redfield and Chris and continues Claire's story after RE2 and her looking for Chris I'll not give too much away but it's a awesome storyline (shoulda made a movie of it) :D

I wouldn't get CVX now, it's showing it's age.

I would try RE remake on the cube, great graphics and more challenging than the other RE games.

RE 2 is many peoples favourite in the series, but i completed it in a day, 6 hours first time through.

I would recommend RE2 if you havn't played any other RE game.

if you're planning on getting RE2 or RE3, it might be hard to find for PS, if you have a GC you'd have a better chance at getting it for GC. I still have my PS versions of RE2(Dual shock) and RE3 and since when i first bought them back in 1998 or 99 (i forget) my discs' still look reasonably good. (i take care of my software) And this past year i bought RE2 and RE3 for GC and must say that graphics on the character models look much better, Plus with RE2 that was originally on 2 discs is now one disc with both character scenarios

RE Remake seemed like a pretty good option, but...oh wait I have a gamecube hanging in my sister's room I could try that one.

I thought it was out for the ps2 but it was only for gamecube right? the graphics seem to be great and the gameplay seems more like silent hill, A game which I enjoy playing.

I'm gonna try RE Remake.

...All I hope is that my gamecube still works haven't used it in a while xD

That doesn't stop it being a great game though looks aren't everything in gaming IMO, gameplay and storyline are just as important ;)

Well I could get one of these packs with 3 resident evil games.

I'm also trying to save some money so I can get Obscure 2 whe it comes out, it's like silent hill but multiplayer, the first one was great the only thing I didn't like it's that iwas too short but the second one seems pretty good you guys should check out the videos they have on youtube, if you like silent hill you may like this one.
