meh i duno thats a hard 1. i just rented it and the fast paced action is good but the levels are just all long corridors that will leave you with dead ends and it seems like they could have done better. I suggest u rent it first 2 see if u like it cause i did and im not guna buy it
Buy it, for sure. The battle system is a lot of fun (eight characters to level up and they each have a realtively different feel to them) and there is a good deal to do -- item creation (both in the form of item synthesis and a factory mini-game), monster hunts (defeat a certain number of a given monster, and increase your rank on a hunter list and gain items in the process) and 'quarries' (like the hunts in FF12).

I own it and I have beaten it and I say rent it.  Its a great one shot game but it really lacks any reason to play for fun afterwards. I think Dark Cloud 2 is better than Rogue Galaxy. Â
DC2 lets you do some fun creative things,  .hack GU has the killer storyline/environment, and Rogue Galaxy brings up the rear not really having nothing to offer but being alot more fun than standard rpg crap like grandia or tales or suikoden.Â

Uh... 'standard crap'? Grandia and Tales started some of the most fun and inventive battle systems in a while.
