Spend your younger years doing something productive, you don't need to be playing Devil May Cry. You aren't missing much anyway.

The sad thing is that parents sue the companies for selling that kind of game. It's like GTA and saying the violence game that shouldn't be sold. So the logical thing to do is sue the company for their poor parenting. The store should check if the kids are able to buy it or not anyway. It would be the stores fault for selling an M game to a minor. People like those only blame people for their mistakes. That's really pathetic and shouldn't be called a parent.

It's like those people that are against guns because people are being killed by them and want to ban the use of them (or whatever extreme). Well, if they stop and think about it, people kill people. I don't see a gun with Kibler elf legs running around pulling its trigger.

Well , maybe they did'nt want you to play that game cuz it'll affect ur brain . What I mean is that violent and gory games like DMC3 have a tendency to influence young people to do stunts like Dante . They might also be afraid that it'll affect ur attitude towards them  . Anyways , sorry about your problem

Honestly I have my own reasons for being against gun control. I don't think ANYONE needs a gun in America...it's just a right. And rights should NEVER be taken away under ANY circumstances...and definately not out of fear.

I can't help but fundamentally disagreeing with this. Parenting, ultimately, is teaching your kids right from wrong, how to handle situations, the way to differentiate between reality and something that's obviously a work of fiction. I mean, if your kid plays Grand Theft Auto and then robs a liquor store? Either a) There was something already wrong with your kid, or b) You failed as a parent. Parenting isn't shielding. Parenting is teaching.

I believe that absolutely anybody should be allowed to carry any firearm they wish, without a license. Including, but not limited to, grenade/rocket launchers and the like.

However, I'd be the only person with any ammo. Because frankly, I wouldn't trust a majority of people with anything more dangerous than string. And even that's pushing it. :P

Now that's what I don't like. You like that game (even if the age inappropriate), but your parents don't. *pats shoulder* Don't worry, I know you can do it. Try to respect your parent's decision and be patient. It's the only way you can do for now...

Seeing as your parents don't think you're mature enough to play DMC, you need to prove to them that you are indeed mature enough.  Crying about it on a game forum isn't progress, though.

You're right but he kinda is missing much IMO.I think it's a little bit stupid that your parents won't let you play the game.I could understand about games like Manhunt, but this? They could also lock you into your room till you get 18.And don't try to kiss a girl,or even have sex with one mister!Girls are horrible monsters that eat you when they finish having sex with you.Do you want that to happen to you????

I would have been in your favor if you used proper grammar techniques such as capitalization and spelling. I'm no English teacher, but if you're going to complain, you should make yourself look good.

There is no reason for Americans to carry firearms. The only reason I can think of is to fend of the juveniles that turn into criminals from bad parenting.

If you're going to point the fingers--The conservatives are pro-firearm, and they are the ones fighting the courts about violence in games (like Jack Thompson, our little buddy that was constantly in court trying to censor GTA, then Bully.). Just figured I would let you know that the people carrying the guns are the same ones (Republicans) that are censoring our games.

I agree that the ratings system should not be a anti-purchasing notice to parents, and like someone mentioned earlier--being a parent is about "teaching not shielding", therefore the ratings system is really there to allow parents to explain the content of the games and explain to them what is right or wrong.

Oh, and the DMC series is amazing, except for 2. All of the games should be rated T for Teen, they're not that bad.

I played Contra and Friday the 13th on my NES when I was 4.

My parents used to prevent me from watching violent movies when I was younger. Their rationale was that there has to be something to look forward to when you grow up. I wholeheartedly agree.

Well, anything can be used for good/bad intentions. Even without guns, people can use wires, forks, catapults....lol......sorry, can't help it. Anything is potentially dangerous so not having a gun wont make this world a safer place. There's still bombs/explosive items that a grade-schooler can make and have easy access to. America not having guns is idealistic but we "need" them to protect ourselves or we are screwed to become slaves to other contries. I don't know about any of you but I don't want to be a slave.

I would have to Agree with them... as much as you will hate to hear it... alot more parents need to do good parenting... because you get alot of kids getting into games like GTA when they are 12 and start swearing and its really profaine... I seen a kid on the street he must have been 13... smoking. it was disgusting... although to help your situation you could try sitting down and talking to your parents... if you show maturity it helps... Because if they are good parents they taught you good morals. So you wont start killing people ;)

Firstly, learn to spell. Please. Your not convincing anyone your 'mature' enough to play such games if you can't master the english language. And second, ratings are there for a reason. If your parents don't want you to play the game thats their descision, and as has been said, a good example of decent parenting. Complaining on here isn't going to change anything either.
