Trippy PS2 games

I'm wondering, what are some trippy, weird and/or bizarre games out for the PS2?
Be it the gameplay, music, or some of the characters, tell me their names.

I just ordered Rez and Killer 7 (and some others) online.
And I already own We Love Katamari.
Would be nice if I can get more games that are like that.

The Shadow Hearts games have strange humor, thought it was hilarious. In SH Covenant, a gay vampire wrestler with a huge tuna as a weapon who wears a butterfly mask on his face... Its a pretty serious game but it has plenty of chuckles in there. Disgaea and its offshoots have great comic moments and the game doesnt take itself too seriously.

I have all 3 Shadow Hearts game, and the humour is well... amusing.
Although I'm only on the first game.

Not to give spoilers, but let's just say that some of the people your character keeps in contact with start saying things that are completely senseless, and pretty funny as they break "the 4th wall".  There's a scene in MGS: The Twin Snakes where it happens as well, though that's only available on the Gamecube.  Speaking of which, if you have a Gamecube then Eternal Darkness is definitely a trippy game!

Ok, just because you posted about MGS and I feel bad, what is the game about as a whole?
And how's the gameplay like?

Argh Silent Hill and Fatal Frame!
I have SH3 and only after a few minutes of playing, I got a headache from squinting through the darkness.
And the atmosphere is creepy.
I've got Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, and watched my cousin play it.

The oil rig on wich most of the game plays on is actually a super computer used by the american goverment to sencor and propagandise the worldwide comunications (internet, television etc)

As you uncover its existence wich was suposed to stay secret the computer freaks out. saying things directly aimed at the player, wich catches you by suprise as the whole game till that point never involved the player but simply the game characters 

(The super computer uses codec messages to comunicate, in a similar fashion as how in MGS:PS1 you found out your mentor giving survival advice was actually liquid snake in disguise)

I had mixed feelings on Clocktower 3.  It did have great atmosphere and graphics, but some bad control issues, especially during boss battles, that made the game very frustrating.  Haunting Ground is a much better game, IMO.

Hurrr I typed 'Rule of Rose' wrongly. 

Anyway, ugh. That would get annoying during a boss battle.
But yes, most people love the game and how scary it is.
As for Haunting Ground....... have it too. xD;;

you may also try space channel five, gitaroo man, or viewtiful joe.    All of them are bright, crazy, loud and full of brilliant nonsense.

Oh but I did try Viewtiful Joe for the DS.
Extremely fun.
I might just check it out for the PS2, although it's not on my priority list. 

Oh also some quirky alien games....

you might like Destroy all Humans, Under the skin or alien hominid.    All of them are entertaining but over all a little unsatisfying, so I wouldnt pay more than a few bucks for any of those.

If you have a dreamcast you might want to look for a copy of Seaman which is one of the weirdest "games" ever.

I spent my time zapping and zooming humans than completing my objectives. xD

pshyconaughts is a good one but its pretty short and unnoriginal as what gameplay it has it steals the best from games like King Kong and Ratchet and clank. Brilliant storyline though.

One word; Shadow of the Colossus, haha fantastic game, weird stuff, euphoric empty world feel, pretty good replay value, have a friend watch you play, it's just as good as a movie to watch.KevComesRipping

Maybe you should try the Shin Megami Tensei series. Especially SMT: Nocturne (Rpg with spiritual entities a la Pokemon in a world gone ???).

Although I wouldn't mind trying Digital Devil Saga instead.
