I feel the MGS, Jak, R&C, FF, GT, GTA, GoW series are all MUST have for the ps2. They're exclusive and they will still be fun 5 years down the road when you pop them into the ps3 or the even the next next gen console. Graphics wise they may not be as good, be definitly gameplay and fun factor you'll still love them. The keyword is exclusive.
You might not enjoy these games anymore because each game give you a different experience
If you guys don't mind playing games in a language you don't understand, you should come to Japan! Every single one of those games can be EASILY found in stores in Japan (no need to buy anything online).
Someone said Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne is rare? Pffft... I could buy 100 copies of that game in a store if I wanted to!!
Try Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne Maniacs, which is essentially the director's cut version of the game. This is a little bit rare (due to the fact that only a limited numberof copies of the game were created), but still relatively easy to find... a little bit pricier than normal games too...

I live in Malaysia. I've been searching like nuts
Shin Megami Tesnei- Devil Saga 1/2 and Nocture. (They're not hard to find, but they're really expensive)
majadamus
I think I paid just over $100 for all three. I'm pretty sure DDS2 had a second release because I've seen it with two different covers and there are new copies all over where I live. Of course, that doesn't do you much good if you don't have DDS1...
Games I still want to get for the PS2 are:
Okami
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy XII
Ico
God of War II
Some of those are not very hard to find, but I want to get all of them new if possible, making things a little harder and expensive.

It's basically the Maniacs version of the game that was released here in the US. Where exactly would you be able to buy a hundred copies from a store? I could see that happening in Japan, perhaps, but notin the US now. Importing games is easy enough, but the difficulty comes in getting them to play on systems from a different country.

Digital Devil Saga 2 has a double-sided cover insert. One side has the picture with the characters from the game under the yellow sky. If you take the insert out and flip it over, the cover features Sera with Varnani. That side of the cover goes much better with the cover of DDS1, Serph and Varna.
[QUOTE="strat505"]if i come across any SMT games i'll definitey pick them up, but right now im looking for Street Fighter Alpha Anthologycatrocr

$100 for all 3!?!? DAMN, you got a deal! Nocturne and DDS go for around $65 each on ebay. I just paid $70 for the original Persona. I figured with Persona 3 coming out, the price will only get worse. The price of all these SMT games will probably keep going up as they become harder to find. Get em while you can!
PS2 game only:
Forbidden Siren 2
Devil May Cry 2
Disgaea
Disgaea 2
Dragon Quest 8
Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus
God of War 2
ICO
Jak and Daxter series
Project Zero 3
Ratchet and Clank series
Tenchu series
I think those are the only ones...
[Edit: Obviously I was wrong, these are some I thought about in the last 5 minutes: Shinobi, Nightshade, Killzone, Rez (it was released in Europe, right?), Star Ocean... and I have a hunch there are several others.]
