Well this may sound dumb, but I got it for the first Christmas it came out in ( I think, I was little ) and the first game my parents bought for me was HarryPotter:and the Chamber of Secrets, I was amazed, but I didn't have a memory card so I had to constantly keep it on......damnnn!!!!!!!!

DOA2 wsa the 2nd game I played on my PS2 followed by Onimusha. I prefered TTT over DOA gameplay wise but DOA was also pretty fun to play and the levels were better compared to TTT.
I bought a PS2 in early 2002 and MGS2 was the 1st game I played. I played MGS2 without saving untill I beat the game and I did, it took me around 12 hours. I was exhausted afterwards.
That's hillarious, the same thing happened to me! I was playing TRL, and realized I had cheaped out on a memory card when I bought the PS2. I had to leave the thing on for a day and a half while I ran around trying to get a memory card for it!
I saved up for a couple of months and bought it right after Christmas '01, specifically for Metal Gear Solid 2. At the time, PS2 memory cards were far and few between, so I had to leave the system on for a week straight and beat it in that time.
