Why do you keep playing PS2 games ?

Well, if it still works, I might as well buy the 40g PS3 since the backwards compatability isn't really needed... and I really don't want to ditch my guitar hero stuff after I paid that much for it.

I hate how people are always quick to jump on the "next big thing" and get rid of what they have enjoyed in the past.

I like my Playstation 2, it ranks up there with my Super Nintendo. Its a great system with a great (and LARGE) library of games.

Whats not to love?

1. Because the Wii doesn't have any JRPG's yet.

2. I can't afford a 360/PS3 atm.

3. I still have some PS2 gems i need to finish.

While there are unplayed games out there, a player will seek to try them out. I'd take a good game over good graphics any day.vandimer

I couldn't have said it any better. There are so many games not only in my collection, but games that I haven't purchased yet for the PS2 that I want to play. Sure, there are some great games for next-gen consoles, such as Mass Effect and BioShock, but I can wait to play those while I catch up on this generation's great games.
