10/10 games, this gen

there has been mgs4 (game of this gen in my opinion) and gtaiv, probablyshouldnt have got 10/10 maybe 9.5/10.

do any of yous believe there will be a 10/10 game again this gen?

maybe... modern warfare 2, a new metal gear solid or new halo etc.

any ideas?

sortta agree with both of yous, i was just puting mw2 out there but i highly dought it and im sortta giving up on this gen for some reason, i dont know why, there have been some very nice games on the ps3 with more to come but i am pretty keen for next gen to hurry up, very most likely getting the ps4 unless it was somehow ultra fail. nothing wrong with ps3, not the greatest but i think that sony will improve from ps3 and the ps4 will be very, verygood.

Any good game is probably going to get a perfect score from some reviewer, somewhere. Didn't Bayonetta get a 40/40 from some Japanese magazine? Reviews are just one guy's opinion, with a good dose of fanboyism tossed in, and depend a lot on pre-release hype and how popular the franchise is, etc.

This generation still has several years to go, and I'm sure there will be plenty of absolutely fantastic games still to come. Whether or not some reviewer decides to give them some score has absolutely nothing to do with how much I'll enjoy them.

Ps3 is going to do well. 2010 Possible Killzone 3. I'm looking forward.

Bayonetta will get 10/10.

i dont think any game this gen deserves a ten so far and i doubt anyupcoming games will get 10/10. atleast on gamespot

Grand Theft Auto IV seemed more like a 9/10. Once you beat all the missions there's not much to do and they even took out parachutes and airplanes. Metal Gear Solid 4 is amazing but I don't think it deserves a 10/10. Probably a 9.5. If you ask me there are no 10/10 games this gen or any other gen. Though there are some games I would give a 9.8 if we went according to the old GameSpot rating system.

GOW3...Heavy Rain??? there was another one but i forgot what it was called.

Possibly Bayonetta... can't say I expect it to do well with US reviewers, but it's getting a lot of praise from Japanese journalists.

Other than that, God of War III is a strong contender, but I'm hardly interested in it. Bayonetta will be my 10/10.

Final Fantasy 13, Gran Turismo 5, God of War 3, Tekken 6, possible candidates. At least FF and GoW.

I'd love Ratchet and Clank to get a 10/10, but that has about a less than 0% chance at happening. It would be lucky to get a 9 on this site.

This is just a wild guess, but New Super Mario Bros. might have a chance. It is a Mario game that is going back to its roots. Any Mario platformer (except for Sunshine) is usually good for at least a 9.

This is just a wild guess, but New Super Mario Bros. might have a chance. It is a Mario game that is going back to its roots. Any Mario platformer (except for Sunshine) is usually good for at least a 9.

NSMB and SMG2 hopefully MGSR

On Gamespot? Assassin's Creed II, the first one got a 9.0/10 and Assassin's Creed II already looks a lot better than the first.

God of War 3 and Final Fantasy XIII have the best chance but I have a gut feeling that, very early to speak of, but the reboot COD 7 (supposedly in Vietnam) will do well..
